5'10" to 5'11" seems right to me, since I'm 5'10" and he was about as tall, if not a little taller, than I was.
Also, welcome to our new newcomers! Owen is indeed a handsome devil...or deity.

Hi! I'm Ian. I've been somewhat of a fan since He Poos Clouds but just joined today. My fandom has reached a fever pitch recently, starting shortly before I went to see Owen open for the Mountain Goats in I think November when I realized how much staying power HPC had and how excited I was for Heartland. Now Heartland is out and I expect it'll prove to have been one of my favorite albums of 2010, and it seems like there's a lot of interesting stuff on here — I'd lurked for a while without registering — so it seemed like the time was right to finally join up. I'm another of the guys from the Mountain Goats forums who wasn't drumming his fingers and waiting for Owen's set to be over when I went to see them.

Hey all. I am Kira from Austin, Texas. Looking forward to seeing Owen here in April (missed his last show in November!)
I actually heard about Owen through his collaboration with Mika--very different music styles, I know--but I'm totally enthralled with the guy. I love the new record, can't wait for more!

I'm Matt, I've been lurking these here boards for quite a while now, and felt it was time to finally get an account, a mass congretation of Owen fans seems like something I can get behind

Hi'ya Damon and Matt! Are there any other fans out there in Australia? I sometimes daydream the delightful situation of a complete stranger approaching me in the street and commenting on my (Heartland) shirt, followed by a conversation on the album. haha, oh I use to think the same back when I would wear that grungy home-done silk screen has a good home shirt... "Do you really like those video games that much to make your own shirt?" "video games? what video-ohh.." I've just completely given up on this now... Australia? aww now I miss Jessi. Does anyone else remember that lovely dear emotion gal from Australia?

Hello, I'm Susan and I wonder if I am Owen's oldest fan at 39? I discovered Owen when my husband left me and my friend made me a mix CD with "This Lamb Sells Condos" on it. I don't play any instruments really. I used to play alto sax in high school 2 decades ago. This year I want to learn piano, so I'm glad for all the piano scores. I am also a former WarCraft addict. And also really like these German board games also that in the US are considered "gamer games". NO WAY YOU ARE 39. I never ever in a million years would have guessed that. I seriously thought you were in college. Grad school tops.

Ah ha! I spy a thread where I can and should introduce myself : ) I'm Danielle, Dee, DeeDee, *other related nickname* and I am from Liverpool, England. Currently at university, no idea what I'm going to do afterwards! Officially studying computer science, unofficially studying lots of music and baking and crafting Was introduced to Final Fantasy just about 2 years ago now; fell in love with 'The CN Tower Belongs to the Dead' and 'He Poos Clouds' instantly. Annoyed everyone around me, especially by making HPC my text notification ; ) That's still my favourite. Finally got to see Owen live in Manchester last Sunday. Awesome, awesome times.

Hey people, I'm Tom/Tomm/Thomas/any other variation of that name, had just about all of them, see if you can give me a new one Anyway, more towards the topic, I've been a fan for a few years and been sneaking on here for a quick look at tabs for a couple of months so thought I'd sign up so I wouldn't feel like I was stealing them. Sooooo...hi.

Alo. I just caught my first ever Owen/FF show yesterday evening in Toronto. I'm fairly new to him, and I can't get over the complete fullness of his sound. Reminds me of Hobbits, and eating extra to "fill in the cracks", his songs are bursting rainbows, there just doesn't seem to be any more room to squeeze anything else in, it's absolutely memorizing. Um. See yas around! (Kylie/Kydi/Kyo/Aqueya.. change your handle like changing cars..)
