Aw, thanks! It's just nice to know that people have used them . Which Regina song are you covering? I imagine "The Flowers" would be nice on violin, with the arpeggios across the strings... Mx

That, I still have know idea. I mean, every song of hers is incredible. I think I might do one from Soviet Kitsch, maybe Ode To Divorce. But I am still in the process of checking the partition sheets.

Ode to Divorce is lovely... That'd work especially well on viola come to think of it, because the accompaniment's just open fifths from C as I remember. Or if you just did it in the key of G on violin.. My favourite song from Soviet Kitsch is probably "Somedays"... So pretty! And I used to do a cover of "Baby Jesus" sometimes

I remember he played "That's When the Audience Died" and "This is the Dream of Win and Regine" in Kitchener, and a cover of Joni Mitchell's "River" with Harmony Trowbridge, and sang a verse of "Go Tell It on the Mountain" which was an encore, je pense. But I remember listening to a broadcast of a different show which had "Song Song Song" in it, and where he sang different lyrics, like 'got a son who'll eat anything' which...is... Well, I don't know if it's real. Wow, that's a lot more detail than I can recall. Thanks for filling in some gaps - especially Harmony Trowbridge's name. That was bugging me!

Hey guys! My name is Dan, and I got interested in FF when my friend Emily (emilypoulain on the boards) introduced me to He Poos Clouds. I started to listen to the rest and although my obsession hasn't gotten too big yet, it's certainly getting there. I just hopped on the boards literally today, but I've been reading the forums on and off for a couple o' months now. Its so great to feel welcome in an environment where we all share a common love- the magic of OP.

Coincidentally, I was listening to Soviet Kitsch (again) and when I read your post, Us started playing.
Welcome to this fine community Dan. =D

Hey all-
Been a fan for years, and in the run-up to the release of Heartland and the SF show I've been lurking more than usual, so figured it was as good a time as any to make things official and register.

Hi. I'm Lynds. I'm from the Chicagoland area -- I went to my second show last Friday. I first heard Owen's music a couple of years ago while I was snooping on shared iTunes libraries while I should have been writing a paper...
Currently listening to Heartland while I ought to be writing a paper...
Yep.

*waves* I'm Shona (yes, real name...I wasn't feeling very creative ). I first heard of Final Fantasy when Owen came through Birmingham, AL a few years ago when I was still living there. I didn't go to the show (and I want to smack the hell out of myself for that now) but out of curiousity, because I heard so many raving reviews, I looked him up much later. He and Andrew Bird are the main reasons I wanted to pick up the violin. Luckily a friend of mine taught me the bare basics and I just finally bought myself a violin last year and began taking formal lessons. Been playing for about 4 months now. I wasn't sure I liked the new album on the first listen but I absolutely can't stop listening to it now! I found these forums while searching for sheet music. I'm actually living in Gainesville, FL now...hoping Owen will decide to make a stop here sometime (and if he happens to see this, may I suggest The Atlantic? Or Common Grounds, actually...a bit more room there).
