Black Bishop and Vengeance will appear on the next album, recorded better? (I hope). Holy Eternal Drone is done and I don't know what to do with. Contra O Capitalismo and The Phone Call will be appearing on "The Wait" soundtrack, in which those songs appear.

I have been lucky enough to be listening to the album all week. It's really something! I find the lyrics very difficult to get my head around at parts, they feel quite abstract and oblique but usually it takes me a long time to process the overall picture of art like this!
I get this sneaking suspicion that the title track might be my favourite thing that Owen has ever done, which was weird, I knew the song and liked it but hearing the recorded version really took my breath away and almost by complete surprise. The singing has this incredible resigned tone in it, it's very powerful. It feels part of a really big story. The only part I'm a little bit lost on so far is the two songs in the middle – Chorale and The Passions. I'm sure with time I'll get my head around them. Probably helps that I had heard many others live previously also.
I looked back through Owen's comments on this thread also and by golly he's right about the synths, they sound just phenomenal. It would be really interesting to know what exactly is being used where.
Anyway, rest assured, it's a bloody wonderful record.

It's outrageously good It's big and emotional and has lots of lines that stick out ("I'll never have any children!" for example.) I was familiar with In Conflict, The Riverbed, Soldiers Rock and Infernal Fantasy from seeing Owen in Dublin and from youtube otherwise, so those songs are big signposts in getting to know the record. The one I'm going back to now a lot is Song For Five & Six. Just like sticking it on out of sequence when I'm walking around now.

I wish I could help you, but I have no idea. I can confirm that it is on Spotify and it is terrific, though.

indeed- the percussive hits add a great dimension to it all, and it has such a good balance and play between pitch ranges! listened to it at least 7 times today. only four short weeks now; I know it'll be more than worth the wait.

The album is (obviously) great. I'm trying to write the review of it and say something more interesting and thoughtful than "It's fucking deadly, listen to it!" I feel like it's really quite sad in parts. I'm put the lyrics into lines so they're easier to read as I'm struggling to decipher what's going on a lot of the time.
