okay. when i listen to xiu xiu, i have to be in a certain mood. it doesn't come rarely, but i haven't been in a real xiu xiu mood since the album leaked. last night and this morning i was in a xiu xiu mood, so i listened to this for the second/third time.
the first time i listened to it, i was just more curious to hear what it sounded like and wasn't in the right mood. despite that, i was underwhelmed with the album. i don't think it's their absolutely best work yet. but i didn't hate it.
now it's really growing on me. a promise still holds a ridiculously special place in my heart, and it's still my favourite. but the air force really IS amazing.
anyway. boy soprano and pj in the streets of london have to be my favourites. especially pj in the streets of london. why hasn't anyone really mentioned that song yet? it makes me feel claustrophobic in my chest or something. like my heart's going to implode.
