I've only listened through this album once in total, and it seems pretty damn solid. The thing that has stuck out the most for me is the fantastic production of the album. Even the most dischordant noise is turned into something beautiful (in a way). I hadn't listened to Xiu Xiu for a while before I saw then live in Sydney, and seeing them live made me realise how flat some of their recordings could be. Fabulous Muscles is my favourite cd of theirs but sometimes I listen to Crank Heart and think it sounds a bit flat. Seeing them live made me reaise how well some of their noisier songs are constructed, and this album has come so close to that fanastic live sound of theirs.

Yeah, crank heart is awesome. I really don't like this production, it sounds like everything is rounded off. It could use more treble and could be more abrasive in general.

I really like the album, i like how it is different than most xiu xiu albums. Its got some awesome songwriting on it. I will have to stop listening to it soon or i will be tired of it when it is actually released.

I have always loved Xiu Xiu's records, but when I listen to Air Force I realize how bad they used to be compared to now! I used to always think they were so good, but this new cd is so fantastic! I am not a big fan of Hello From Eau Claire...  |

I think they've always been very talented and musically together, theyve just taken new approaches at music since they started way back. theyre just evolving. |
