Hey, what's with this Freddy character? They sang "Happy Birthday" to him in Houston AND Austin--do they do that every night, and why?

Hey, what's with this Freddy character? They sang "Happy Birthday" to him in Houston AND Austin--do they do that every night, and why? Freddy Ruppert aka This Song Is A Mess But So Am I. I have talked to him numerous times on the internet, he actually sent me the album before it came out because I loved his tracks on the site.... He's great, great, great. I told him I was on drugs once and I don't think he liked that though.

I cannot even describe how amazingly intense the NYC show was. I was in fucken heaven. Hearing "I Broke Up" and "Fabulous Muscles" live just adds so much more [if it's possible], I was near tears. Maybe I'm sensitive. I waited around after the show and talked with them for a little, but The Knitting Factory wanted my friend and i out, so we couldn't stay for long. But Jamie did sign the hood of my blazer, with "HOG <3 JS," which put me in such a daze I totally missed out on buying any merchandise, sadly. And I think asking the names of your fans has to be one of the sincerest appreciations, maybe even acts of humanity, ever.
I'm in love, now I can die happy.
[Even if I am in the freezing Ithaca in upstate New York, where they need to tour again.]

saw them in chicago last night. i cant remembber the whole setlist. all i remember for sure is they opened with a mandolin and harpsichord version of "hives hives", then they did bunny gamer i think,
the best part was the encore which was "i broke up" then "suha". i was so excited i almost exploded.
the new songs sounded awesome.
