is it playing in nanaimo? yeah i have that same beef, i was reading an article micheal moore wrote on how theatres arent' showing it, and in the states some of them have been sent threatening messages about if they show the movie. which is so incredibly stupid.
phone the local theatres and request that they show it! everybody!

oh i have an update. the rialto in courtenay said it all depended on popularity. so if you call or email them and ask that they show it, likely they will!

I just got home from seeing it. Not bad. It presented a lot of interesting new plots to the scenario, but it was typical Moore. The largest appeal of the film was its humour value, which is crucial to the success of the fans, otherwise they would get bored. On that note, some very, very funny bits. I liked it more than Bowling, I think, but I didn't like Bowling all that much. It was definitely worth the money as far as movies go.
8/10

total fag = it was sold out. 730 and 1030 in two theatres, sold right the fuck out. when i was walking to the theatre i saw tonnes of people walking away and they all look disapointed. it looked like probably at least 40 people who were all planning on seeing it last night that got hooped. ah i'll see it soon, oh yes, i'll see it soon.

this one actually looks good, unlike that bullshit bowling for columbine. the main problem is that the american rating system gave it a R. why? who the fuck knows. moore's intent was to affect young voters and soon to be voting voters, so giving it an R is a perfect way to stop a lot of young people from seeing the movie.

you didnt like BowlingForColumbine? i had a wierd facination with the whole event... i was in grade 6, and was glued to the tv. maybe im just fucked up.
anyoen seen ELEPHANT? real good indie movie on a school shooting. has a different way of approaching shots and angles and stuff. i highly recommend it...

but is it playing in naniamo? i deem this place delicious. moore's a little bit of a propagandist in my eyes. i see his movies as mostly entertainment and i think it can be dangerous to take that movie as a historical documentary, without further investigation of his claims. i'm sure i'll see it, but i'll be sure to take a grain of salt with me hohohohohaw-haw-haw
