i hate americans because i talk to them all day and honestly cannot stand the way they are. i'm not ignorant. i just really, honestly, trully don't like the manor they portray themselves. and i'm not saying they're all jerks or anything, but most of the people i talk to like being american is so elite and often have very little sentiment for anyone else. it's seems like to most americans anywhere outside of america is some other world that doesn't actually exist. it's all really unsettling to me. i'm not a jackass or ignorant. i just really dislike most americans. i understand what you mean, a lot of the ideologies america was based on could be considered narcissistic and self-centered. i just hate it when i see people taking this "pinko leftist" (as wiley might say) stance where it's so cool to have a hate-on for our neighbours to the south. as far as the service sector goes (compared to Canada) America has us beat ten fold. i hate going most places where someone has to serve you around here. it's like they're doing you a goddamned favour or something. in the states, i've found people to actually *gasp* take pride in serving you and do their best when doing it. mind you, i do live in one of the wealthiest communities in Canada (Oakville) but it makes me furious to have to deal with these dipshit teenagers who are half-retarded and are only working out of some token strategy of their parents to make their kid "learn the value of a dollar". sometimes i want to reach over the counter and beat them with their wireless debit console.

well its pretty fucking obvious tha editting isnt your best skill. maybe taking a shit?
anyway. i resent the person that refered to moore as "mike". you arent his buddy, his chum, his friend, his neighbour, to him your probably worth less than the hair on the crack of his ass.

i personally really enjoyed the movie, micheal moore did another excellent job. i was really creeped out first of all by the look on bush's face when he was in the classroom, and second by those soldiers getting all pumped up with the music and everything. has anyone seen Roger and Me? it was easier to understand the parts where he talked about his hometown of Flint, Michigan.

the points being made about this movie being 'propagandist' are well made. however, it is the only way to actually get a message across these days (simply put, people will listen to it, whether they acknowledge it or not). with CNN reporting nothing but a pro-american view, spewing the message of its imperialist invasion with its 'embedded reporters', it can be hard to find somewhere to hear the messages of reality instead of their trumped up glory stories. i can only imagine that the CIA is trying to shut down Al-Jazeera and other arab networks, they did it to Castro before his revolution, and you can be damn sure they're trying to do it now.

My parents buy grocery stores and hire me, so I learn the value of a dollar. As I get better at working, they purchase more astute establishments. Next I'm working as a dishwasher at the boating club. They might not be able to pay for this one with cash. Sometimes I think my parents are poor or something.
