I saw it last nite. Personally, I liked Bowling for Columbine more. But I suppose that is because I can relate better to unstable highschool kids than I can to soldiers and victims of war. Either way it was a really great show and it definitely made me think. It probably would have meant more to me if I was an American, or perhaps if I gave two-shits about politics. Buuuut...it was enjoyable nonetheless.

typical moore. that all i can say. there were parts that were really good. there were parts that were totally out of context. now i dislike bush as much of the next guy, but there were parts that prey on him, not a president, but as another person. the one part that really bugged me was the last scene in which moore tried to make bush look like even more off an ass by showing a clip of him forgeting part of a speech that had nothing to do with anything else. it was funny to see but it did nothing to support any points moore had made and was a mistake that anyone could make. the thing i did like was the way moore showed that the war was a way to keep the american social structure intact. a structure that purely benifits the the richest percentage, when infact it is the poorest and the most desparate citizens who choose (or were forced) to fight keep it this way. all togther i liked it but i had to keep in mind all the way though to think for myself. it's easy to watch a moore film and feel good because your not absorbing the mainstream media, but it's still media. don't slack off, think while watching and don't just accept it all. but i thought for the most part it was well done and enjoyable.
7/10

i whatched a pirated version of it, burned from the net last night.
i found it more emotional then bfc, mainly becasue this movie was on a much bigger threat/scale. at times i found it a little to propigandist, but now that i look back on it, i find we need that kind of view from the left now a days.

yah i thought it was great.. dragged a bit too much on the sympathy.. but fuck, it would be nice if the corporate and political leaders of the US had a bit more sympathy instead of jacking off each other..
lots of interesting stuff i learned that i didn't know before as well

aww, im sorry im not inline with your pinko neo-liberal politics. i guess im an idiot because i dont act like some hipster shitbag pc-minded eurotrash liberal.
mark, did i once reference to the movie? no. what was i talking about? peoples posts. i guess i need to watch the movie to reply to someones post. and i actually want to watch this one.
and i hate michael moore because he's a useless piece of shit hack that is riding on the wave of legions of idiotic anti-american jackasses that barely know what their talking about and regurgitate useless bullshit they watch in pseudo-documentary shithole films that because of their fame result in a very unjustified academy award that probably should have went to a film that properly fell into academy award guidelines. i really dont give a shit how much one likes that film, i could careless, what i do care for is that fact that i fucking hate that shitbag.
go take a trip to shitsville.

if you're looking for credibility in an awards ceremony i wouldn't look in the direction of the academy.
