Is Scandal at the Parkade a cover or a new song? Neither, it was one of the songs he developed and played back in 2007 in preparation for Heartland, but then didn't get included. The other major casualty was "Man With No Ankles". Hopefully these will be released at some point in the future.

WAIT WAIT WAIT.
HOLD UP.
He played Please Please Please? After him denying that request many times previously, even telling a fan she was 'walking on his cookies' after requesting that?

No, if you're talking about the FM4 session he said that to the fan who requested he play the CN Tower Belongs to the Dead despite the fact he'd already played it with the orchestra. I think he was trying to shy away from the ummm more "shouty" songs that evening due to the nature of the performance :3

He just said 'No' when Please Please Please was requested. Still, that made me think he wasn't playing it anymore, and I *really* wanted to hear it. I totally would have shouted for that at the gig if I knew he was playing it.

If you watch the video Jules put up, it's clear that he doesn't normally play it, but just thought 'what the heck' when people were requesting it. I suspect it depends on what kind of mood he's in in terms of whether he will play requests of songs like that.
