"Pegatively Nositive" is a wicked record! Kado is the greatest, I miss his guts. Total expecting to receive my copy any day now...there was a wee bit of a delay in the processing at blocks.. coz I order it ages ago. I'm hoping for an excess of all things Kado. The title alone made me expectant.

The title alone made me expectant. There was a big influx of orders due to all the new blocks albums (read: Hank) out. Bell Orchestre is not what I was expecting it to be! Its so much better. Leaps and bounds better. The Gaze is perfect waking up music when you're in a hurry.

Oh yes, I completely agree! ending on the song "Air Lines/Land Lines" officially made "As Seen Through Windows" my favorite Bell Orchestre album! haha, I can't imagine waking up to The Gaze, that song just makes you want to do the dishes in a hurry, regardless of if your breaking them or not. The Dirty Projectors "Bitte Orca" (which I've only heard half of but it was stunning, stunningly good.) I'm honestly shaking in excitement over Bitte Orca. -would you consider The Dirty Projectors a girl record? I've always thought of them as a band "led" by David...admitively, those girls are absolutely amazing, and the last album really showed it!

Well, right now, I'm ear deep into the latest Pierre Lapointe's album. The perfect mix of French Chanson, Pop, Classical Arrangements, and Rock. First single here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs0NGd64usMGosh, I love that album so much.

Yes, Yes I Have!!(oh and boy do I love it!) yea, i understand how much more involved Amber Coffman has become compared to D.P.'s earlier ones..but to go as far as call them a girl band.. i don't know, i guess it really doesn't matter 'what' we call them, I enjoy "stillness is the move" with the same sort of passion as most Longstreth only songs, so i suppose what I'm trying to say is which ever gender is vocally more prominent in Bitte Ocra I'll be equally grateful! (I Cannot Wait to Purchase This Record!)

I finally heard Bruce Peninsula's "Mountain is a Mouth,"and it's every synonym of good I can think of.
Unless any of the other previously mentioned upcomming releases steal the crown (i.e. Heartland), I'm going to have to go with that one.

While I really like Bitte Orca, I don't get all the fuzz about it. Imo, it is not as good as Veckatimest and MPP by a long long shot.
Cannibal Resource and Useful Chamber are pretty perfect though.

Oh wow, is Bitte Orca awesome. Temecula Sunrise is the summer song. Period. Some songs (The Bride, Fluorescent Half-Dome) are misses, but when songs hit (Stillness, Temecula, Cannibal, Useful Chamber, Two Doves, Remade) they HIT. I haven't made up my mind on No Intention, yet.
Micachu & The Shapes is tied with The Blankket for best record under 30 minutes.
A-Trak's Infinity +1 is super swell, too.

Bitte Orca is sooo incredible! aww- shucks, I can't get enough of "Fluorescent Half-Dome" sure the organs and what-not are a whole lot of cheesy, but I love it, great end to the album... ..still..leaked albums make me sad i was counting down til' the single for "Stillness Is the Move" came out, them -bam- heres the entire album?... Owen, don't accidentally leak Heartland
