Details about Heartland?
1. Write songs. 2. Record songs. 3. Mix songs. 4. Master songs. 5. Administration. 6. ? ? ? ? 7. Profit.
I'm not quite past Step 2, but also well on my way with step 3.

That looks quite suspiciously like Axl Rose's business plan.

I got a message for Axl Rose! I am your man for violin solos! I've got a thirst for GnR! I stole their riff from civil war!
Okay, dumb, sorry.

Teeth of the Sea - Orphaned by the Ocean is my 2nd favorite at the moment. Amazing drone-y (or so I think, and have heard. I'm not familiar with the genre) post-rock.

-Merriweather Post Pavillion tops it so far, probably. I just love it. -I haven't really been able to get into the new Andrew Bird completely, but various tracks of it for sure. -The new Antony and the Johnsons is nice, too. -I only got it yesterday, but Dark was the Night (as many have mentioned) seems pretty awesome.
I picked up the new Beirut album today and was kind of disgusted with its high price when I full well knew it was only 11 trakcs despite having a "2-DISK" sticker to make it sound better. Either way I'm excited.
Others...Patrick Wolf, Metric, Final Fantasy....
As far as Franz Ferdinand goes, I had high hopes after seeing a few songs live in December, but the album is just kind of so-so. I still bought a ticket to see them because they do put on a fun show.

Bell Orchestre - As Seen Through Windows...after a few listens I'm still amazed how good this is. I second this (although I've only heard a few of the songs off it so far). Also - Torngat - La Petite Nicole is astounding. It is released a week from Wednesday but I've been streaming it from Alien8. My love for Torngat knows no bounds.

I've not really had much chance to play this one. No sure if it's as good as "You Could Be" yet. Torngat have made some excellent recordings over the last 8 years. It's a shame that "Live at the Bread Factory" isn't generally available anymore, it's a favorite. I missed them when they did a gig in the UK last year which was a big disappointed at the time. Hope I get a chance sometime.

"It's Blitz!" is really great. I was really scared with the whole 'no guitars, only synths' thing, but you really don't notice it - it's still Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And it has the best cover ever.
"Dance Mother", by Telepathe, has its interesting moments too.
