Although the track listing is pretty much firm you'll have to wait to see
There's a couple of songs that are reliant upon smokin' orchestral sessions. They may turn out, they might not.
Right now, I'm thinking that Scandal At The Parkade, Lewis Takes Off His Shirt and The Man With No Ankles may not make the cut. Isn't that weird?

Cool or not, Owen is going for a fluid concept record, Scandal at the Parkade seems more like 4th record material. And I don't get anything out of The Man with No Ankles, personally.
Which orchestra do you intend on using? Is it not cheaper to fly to Europe and hire better players than pay the TSO? Or what about the team that did those Lukashevsky songs, those turned out pretty good.

Will they, at least, be released before 2011? ;D
I really hope they make the cut though. Or maybe, you release them as a bonus EP, just like Of Montreal did with The Sunlandic Twins.

Boo bonus Ep's and boo stretching out your back-catalog.
We want 35 Heartland songs. Double record. No, no, triple.

My best guess
The Man With no Ankles
Somewhere between a window and my doorstep I remembered what it was to play, to play, to play Don't tell me you can't remember A time before carnel needs Turned us all into employers and employees
The future is a constant in the world everywhere But if humans aren't predestined, the future is variable Well I don't even I don't know what it means, don't know what it means But a fine figured wife isn't how I'm gonna end my days
I'll do, upon, upon, your beauty I'll do, d-do, d-do, my duty I'll do, I'll do, I'll do my duty I'll do, d-do, d-do, my duty
I stopped by the river to fish out a fiver I couldn't stand to see my countenance there Oh, as the water hit my calves and my ankles To the back of my legs, to my neck, to my head
WAAOH AAOH AAOH!
I'll do, I'll do, I'll do, my duty I'll do, d-do, d-do, my duty I'll do, I'll do, I'll do, my duty I'll do, d-do, d-do, my duty
This is kind of fun All I can make out from The Great Elsewhere is
Talking, what's it good for? Absolutely nothing Wrestle, let's wrestle You can pin me to anything
and
I try to keep it from the arrogant boys but the social scene is out, is out of control and decorations on uniforms I tremble and trample on to promise reforms
About face about face, I gave my face to the public Gave up a life of wandering, wandering From room to room Searching for news of our domestic doom

I think it might actually be "teens" instead of "days", which makes sense if Lewis is still an "adolescent standing up to all of heaven's wrath".

I think it's: To the back of my legs to the top of my chest.

Yeah it changes slightly in different recordings I've heard, I just based that on an amalgam of different ones. We'll never know until the final product is released, if it ever gets released, and it could be completely altered. It's more exciting that way anyway.

But seriously, who doesn't love the world jumbles? Those are what we should be figuring out, for the next record Owen should 1-up himself by inventing a language with a little dictionary.
Here's my crack the at word jumble from the Regina folk fest version of The Great Elsewhere. Ahem..

But incredably accurate! If you rearrange the letters it delves into the true meaning of heartland. Yeah right.
