A composer. He (or his wife Clara, no one is sure which) wrote some totally lovely oboe Romances which are a bitch to play because they are sooooo looooooong. And oboe makes mouths tired.
Which comic did you think was about a mean composer?
Ooh, also! QUICK WARNING: Comic is aimed at a *very narrow* audience for the vast majority of the time. So really, it's only humourous if you play a double reed instrument, or know someone who does.

Ohhh, that is just something I put up because I liked it! That is from a comic called Wondermark, by David Malki.
(And the mean guy is a conductor. Just sayin'.)
(...I feel like a jerk.)

I love randomly befriending strange foreigners, yesterday I bumped into some random girl at a bus stop at 10am who was lost and wanted to go sightseeing before she went to the airport back to Hong Kong. I then showed her what bus routes to take but on my way back I saw her wandering around lost again so I jumped off and showed her where was nice/safe to go. I just got the nicest email ever off her: Hiya Paul (the stranger)! This is Chung Man!!!! A strange girl from Hong Kong! I am now sitting at the airport and getting free wifi from BA! I just wanted to say "Thank you very much for today". You have been my star for the day! I was actually wondering what I was going to do, but then you appeared out of the blue and helped me! I am just so pleased to get to know you and thank you for the time. Just a little reminder, don't forget to apply for the jobs at (1) Square and (2) the perfumers! You have my luck, so I have 100% faith in you in getting either of the jobs!!!!!!!!! Good luck, sweetie pie! chung man I must sound like an utter weirdo... yay

Except I accidentally got off like 2 stops early with him, then I'm pretty sure I led him to the wrong bus stop. Oops.

The tube is still blocked D: This sucks, i really want to watch that "tidy up" song of Owen & Steve's again. You'll have to dailymotion me, myspace doesn't always behave on my Mac! I've been working on a birthday card for my friend all afternoon, but now it looks like utter poop D: I hate when that happens, i over-do things, i think i just picked the wrong colours or something. The front of the card had a little swirly violin sound hole cut out of it, and i'd just glued a bit of folded paper on it to make a bridge, and was arranging bits of string on it to make the violin strings but eh. It looks like shit. And now i'm in a pissy mood Doesn't help that my new masking tape is letting off some eerie fumes.. -splutters-

I have my final exams coming this week. Really shitty.

Not the only one missing cartoons. I wake up every morning at 7:00 AM to try catch up The Carebears on Radio-Canada. I have my final exams coming this week. Really shitty. Good luck dude. I'm terribly scatty. I had my last exam on the 20th there and I nearly screwed up big-time. I got up uber early to go into the uni library for a quick cram session with my friend Nida and everything was nice and calm and suchlike, my other friend then told me that he was to go to some meeting at 2 and I was like "Oh, ok man I'll get you after it". It was then Nida turned around to me and said in a very Hermione Granger way "oh ha ha ha, very funny". Curious as to what the feck she was on about I asked her what was up, she then replied "The exam is today!" You know that feeling you get as though someone has tied your insides to a very heavy rock and thrown it into the very cold sea? yeah I got that as muggins here thought the exam was on the 22nd, a thursday, not the 20th, a tuesday... So, after gasping and clawing for air after having a mild panic attack i was whisked away to the exam hall a gibbering wreck, much to the amusement of my ex who just HAD to be in the same exam hall as me. But alas, the paper turned out to be a treat, mostly me whining about Barratt Browning being a bitch and hating religion and everything in general. Let this be a lesson to you kids, always read things properly! Again, good luck with all your exams!

Thank you, but I don't need luck. Without wanting to sound like an asshole, I'm a very good student, I'm just bored at exams. I always manage to get at least 85% (except in History*). We're writing a fairy tale about an environmental subject in French class (I chose deforestation). Mine tells the story of a bear who finds a miror that produces light. The light attracts human, who wants to deforest the forest. The bear seeks advice to the spirit of the forest and they make the humans run to their moms.
* I was supposed to give a document to my teacher so he could evaluate it. The procrastinator in me thought I had time but when it was tme to give it, It was empty. I got a zero percent which lowered my grade in History from 87% to 49%.

Oh, grades grades grades. They are overrated. Besides, it is easier to beat/meet people's expectations when their expectations are low.
Note: do not learn this the hard way by getting good grades through high school, and then mediocre grades through university, to the disappointment of your parents.

I used to get high off glue fumes in art class, that tells you a lot about how classeh I am. Take a picture of it when you're done I wanna see it. Hah, I'll take a photo of it if I decide it's not too ugly to continue making! Speaking of fumes, and sorry to get all girly on you, but I bought the most amazing perfume today and i can't stop smelling myself. ***. It smells like licorice, and vanilla, and aniseed, and some sort of flower...ahhhh. I'm not usually a perfume-and-makeup kind of person but damn, i smell like an old-fashioned candy shop and it's great Oh this so would have happened to me had I not, at last minute, decided to take a gap year. Edit: "Lol" is filtered? Lol.

I'm not usually a perfume-and-makeup kind of person but damn, i smell like an old-fashioned candy shop and it's great Speaking of perfume, on the bus yesterday there was this vile excuse for a woman who sat in front of me and she was wearing this god-awful overpowering perfume that I expect skunks wear. It smelled of Caramel that had went off, some herb that I cant place my finger on and what made it worse was it was completely relentless, wave after wave, breath after breath I was inhaling this awful odor and it actually drove me to a hacking fit. I was half tempted to spray her with my after-shave to try and cancel out the perfume, the other half was tempted to jump out the window. www.veoh.com/videos/v6475351FyPaTpdm?searchId=5222307679363050496&rank=2for you jessi

*wikipedias* Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six attractive male students (Takashi "Mori", Mitsukuni "Hunny", Kaoru and Hikaru, Tamaki, and Kyouya) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. L.o.l. I'll watch it tonight, after I finish ruining my menu board commission - it's like the damn birthday card: I keep going over what i've painted on, then ruining it, then fixing it, eh...
And omg, new FF EPs. Why must I not live in Canada?

wow, I'm impressed that this thread is still going... I've been so busy trying to not fail my last few classes i haven't been on this on a while. Which, on the bright side, i guess, has set very low expectations for all parties involved. On the brighter side I'm now done with high school.
Whats this about new EP's?
