Jamie is probably the nicest musician I've ever met before, he took time at the end of a show last April to shake hands and talk with EVERYONE. He even put aside the fact that certain people in the crowd showed the worst amount of respect I've ever witnessed at a show. And as for him having the right to be pissed, NO SHIT! It is THEIR music. Besides, by 'leaking' and 'ripping' new releases, are we not just depreciating the value of albums and the way they should be played? I don't think Unknown Pleasures would have quite the same impact on the world had it been Oink'd up 6 months before its intended release and played through shitty computer speakers.

hmmm....so, in other news, anyone check their state's unclaimed property, you, or your parents, or someone you know could have some money just lying around waiting to get snatched up, and sent to xiu xiu, do it, and spread unclaimed property awareness

cool, no prob, just wanted to hear from both sides, I'll keep them to myself, I know some people who just have picdisc's pinned to their wall, lookin pretty, so why not buy one, btw, if anyone wants those other tracks from remixed & covered, you can join emusic and get 25 free downloads, those are on there, then quit, I did that two weeks ago, I don't know if they have those air force instrumentals though, I hadn't heard about those until now, they do have some tender buttons, including two live shows exclusive to emusic, and the xiu xiu remix of done it now, got it now, sorry to anyone who is disappointed that I won't be sharing the picdisc but I will share my polaroid scans someday, I had them upped to divshare, but they don't seem to be working, you can only see thumbnails, arggghhh  unibrow. . <--------- this thing. its pretty magical and fun to do.  |

This thread began as someone asking for something to be posted, thinking that it was out of print (no reason to lock)
then Liger informed us that it wasn't out of print, and it became an argument about file-sharing, and it was mostly a reasonable discussion with a few ass-clown comments that were easily ignored (no reason to lock)
then jamie got understandably a little pissed and posted something on the xiu xiu blog (no reason to lock)
and now some asshole has decided to use this as a place to attack someone for standing up for himself (which i unfortunately didn't see until now because i've been busy at work all day)
Obviously, this thread is now locked - the arguments have been posted tons of times, and it's not only a tired debate, but this post is just downright obnoxious
Oh, and Z, and anyone else who is calling jamie/liger/caralee a whiner: look in a mirror, quit your bitching and find something more important to do with your time than proving your immaturity by photoshopping pictures
