an overrated "classic" like the godfather or chinatown
the big lebowski, fargo, etc
but personally, i would suggest "ned danny's 'the cleaners'" because i just finished it and you'd be one of the first to see it before it hits festivals and it's funny and you'd like it.

P.S. I'm also very interested in the working class as I was born into a working class family. So any movies dealing with working class struggles and the like would be good.

Haha, oh man. A friend and I had Goodfellas on repeat and watched it three times although we wouldn't watch it closely every time. 7 and a half hours well spent!

Thanks for the suggestions so far! i don't know if you're into foreign films, but there are some good japanese films about the working class...ozu's tokyo story is really good, as is imamura's ballad of narayama. |
