ok, let me write up here what we have so far... if you want to change something, suggest it
1st: if you want to be involved, email me @ dr.strangelove13@gmail.com (this way, you don't know who is sending one to you until you get it... also, it will alow me to prevent anyone from getting mix cd's from the same person every time). include your mailing address, as well as your shzine userid/nickname. on the afternoon of the 13th, i will mail you the person you are sending your mix cd to
current rules for the first cd: no theme required(?) no xiu xiu songs, and no songs recorded by artists who have done split 7"s, split cdep's, or who have recorded on xiu xiu albums (maybe we should create a list for people who aren't sure?) mail your mix cd to the recipient in a timely fashion (within a week? the following monday?)

quick question for everyone... most of the people involved in this are either US or canadian, which shouldn't be a problem... would anyone mind if we included people overseas? i have at least one italian who wants in, and i know we have a few other europeans on the list, but i was afraid some people might bitch about postage/waiting longer for postage from europe... anyone involved have a problem?
p.s. the first batch of addresses was just sent out, so get burning... later

i've got no problem with shipping overseas/waiting for shipping. this happens once a month, shipping to europe or wherever is not exactly something that's going to kill me.

i think this was very difficult. ive never made a mix cd for someone else, and i tried to make it perfect.

i STILL haven't sent mine out, as i've been obsessing over making the perfect mix... making a mix cd for a friend is hard enough, but for a complete stranger is even more difficult...
maybe we should make it every other month instead?

i think i am done.... sending the monstrofabulation-tron either on the sunday or the monday.
going every other month might be a good idea. though it might also be fun to fail at a february and see what the frustration produces.
oh and i think i can do europe. it'd be interesting to hear what comes back. how hard does the postage hit?

for the next mix cd trade: the theme should be local bands and artists. either from your area, or if you're anywhere but the usa, just music from the same country.
