All I see is someone who downloaded the album and is now telling other people they shouldn't have access to it. Seems a tad hypocritical. go make people download the album on their own time. if we all know its wrong, why make it any more blatant and dissrespectful than to LINK the album on their own website. amy i the only one who see's this as realy rude? Downloading is downloading is downloading no matter where you put the link. I just don't get why someone who is guilty about d/ling the album would bitch about other people d/ling it?!? So like it's okay to d/l the album as long as Jamie can't read about you doing it? Is that your rationale? |

Thanks in advance for any intellectually stimulating responses. the title is "clover" and it's quite similar to that live version i think... anyway, i've listened to la foret 3 times only, so i can't and i won't give a final judgement, but i think it could really be their best album to date. i'm loving every note in it, and some songs are just the best they've ever written! muppet face blew me away... now i think i won't listen to it till it is released... |

i decided that im going to just hand my money to jame for the album and tell him to pocket it because ive had the album for months when i see him. ill tell him to give some to caralee too. maybe cory.

Fuck, I'm sure it's not about the money -Xiu Xiu are hardly millionaires I'm sure. But it's the principle of the band creating this great work for everyone to enjoy *when it's done* and a couple of dipshits are ruining it for everyone and complaining that it's not what they expected. If there are still two months to go before the release it's probably unmastered. (And to post it as a zip file on this forum of all places. Thats like taking a shit right on Xiu Xiu's doorstep.)  I'm sure Jamie and the rest of the band worked damn hard on this record, and people don't even have the decency to wait for it *like they were asked to*. Plain fucking rude. |

i've heard all of xiu xiu's records before buying them (several copies in most cases, particularly with all these multiple vinyl pressings), and they're all still some of my favorite records in existence. hearing la foret now as opposed to when it is released has little effect on my appreciation of it.
i remember waiting for kid a. ultimately, i was just anxious for a few extra months.
if anyone does not want to hear the record now, then wait.
if anyone does not want to read what other people are saying about the record, then don't read.
it's a personal decision.
