He Poos Clouds will be up today, also, DSPs just have their own way of doing things. We will be offering everything for purchase over Bandcamp, also-- I'll link once it's available. Physical copies are in the works-- the pandemic (and other factors) have slowed vinyl manufacturing but things are still happening

Oh, hope you enjoy the sound of the re-masters. I'm really, really happy with them myself-- I found myself enjoying Has A Good Home for the first time! And He Poos Clouds sounds so exciting-- there are elements on "Song Song Song" that I forgot were even there

Has A Good Home sounds phenomenal to my ears.
Edit to avoid double post: I know this has been on a long time coming. Congratulations on the release!

You know... If they really put our hearts in 20,000 tiny jars they'd never leave their homes! Relevant. Also... Bars.

Amazing! Can't wait to listen to them on headphones. Should we also expect your Final Fantasy EPs and He Poos Clouds with new artwork?

"He Poos Clouds" was laid out, in 2006, in ways that I did not really agree with, but we were harried and rushed. I had a specific positioning of the cover image that I wished for, but as we were doing it all over e-mail, and people involved were pushing their own desires on to me, the image was too large on the CD issue and too small on the LP issue. This has been corrected-- the image is now as I wished it to be. You will barely notice the change, it's just scaled the way I wanted it, now.
"Spectrum" and "Plays To Please" have been remixed, remastered, and compiled into a single forthcoming release: "The Two EPs". It will be available later this year on DSPs, along with a physical release. "Plays To Please" especially benefitted from remixing-- I tweaked the vocals really well, I think, and got it sounding very, very good. (It's amazing how much you can learn about mixing in ten years!) The cover art for "The Two EPs" will be identical to the cover art to the "Plays To Please" 10", except the text will be different.

This day just keeps getting better and better every time I check this forum! I've already listened to the Has a Good Home remasters an embarrassing amount of times, and I'm periodically refreshing Spotify for He Poos Clouds... Super excited to hear about Plays to Please and Spectrum 14th Century!! Especially the latter, finding good quality versions on YouTube for that one has been especially challenging.
Everything sounds amazing, and congratulations on the release!

Here are all of my thoughts on songs that stood out. I'll likely edit this post when the other EP's drop to avoid spam.
Your Light is Spent: (EDIT: noticed this is only audible on my speakers). I was struck by the quiet rumbles that first come in underneath "every time you close your eyes and lie still...." What is this sound? I never noticed it before at all. It's a really nice addition. (It strengthens a sense I've always had about the song: an image of the lightness of the song falling open to reveal something deep and... inevitable, underneath? Kinda like mist parting to reveal a chasm. Synesthesia related I guess. But it fits lyrically, too, so it feels like an intentional sound. Those new rumbles give me the same vibe.)
--->: The arpeggios sound great. Especially the higher chords are so clear and crisp, bright but not too bright. Excited to hear more of this.
Library: The vocal mixing is noticeable throughout but on this one it REALLY stands out to me. The higher notes, especially from Reg, used to leap out at me a bit before. Now it's very gentle.
An Arrow in The Side: I don't even know what's different but has this always been such a bop??? Hello??!? This is DEFINITELY the song that the remasters improved my feelings toward the most. I made my roommate come in and listen and it was his favorite Owen song he's heard.
Also overall, I always forget how much I love the trombone on HAGH! It's what characterizes the album for me, obv alongside the solo violin. My roommate also commented unprompted on liking it.

"An Arrow In The Side" became such a bop in the remastering process that we had to make some significant concessions on the remaster of "Please Please Please" so that it didn't sound flaccid in comparison On the original master, "An Arrow" was so innocuous that "Please" roared out of the gate... now we've equalized the two and I'm really happy about it. The low rumbles on "Your Light Is Spent" is the sound of me drumming the box of the violin... this was something I used to do live to add some tension to an otherwise bucolic song, but it was rendered inaudible in the original master. And ya Doug Tielli's trombone, on both this and Poos is really special. I wanted to have trombone on the album bc it was the instrument I played in high school (along w tuba), but I can't play it well enough any more

Question, has anyone been able to access He Poos Clouds on Spotify yet? I'm only able to see Has a Good Home thus far...
EDIT: IT'S UP

Edit: Can we reflect on Owen making a REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER DISS TRACK I love the IRL lore of This Lamb Sells Condos, but it's also lyrically one of my all-time faves of Owen's. The second verse particularly, where this backstory of Lamb's budding sorcery and the magical explanations for his hairlessness and impotence are explored. It's so evocative and fun and weird, and inspiring to me as a unique example of a diss track/dissertation on a larger civic problem.
