Good afternoon Owen and other fans,
I have been consistently checking this forum, various social media accounts, and general Google searches almost bi-weekly for news of updates of the release of Island. What is the current status? (I know there is another thread for this, but it kind of got buried in the spam).

I read somewhere that Owen said at his Calgary concert a few months ago that he was looking at a January 2019 release. I've also been checking frequently for more information, so hopefully this still holds true!

I’m glad other people seem to still be around here too. I’m obsessed waiting for this album and between the mysterious Instagram post from October and the alleged upcoming release date from his last concert I’m going insane!
Waiting for those remasters of He Poos Clouds so I can listen on Spotify too.

I saw the show at supercrawl where he played the new songs. It was so amazing. There was this eerie wind that enveloped the stage when he played the acoustic version of The Riverbed.

Is that the same version from the Elbphilharmonie concert? Some of the songs from that are on YouTube. that acoustic version of The Riverbed really is magical! hopefully since he's still playing "new" songs at recent concerts it means the album is right around the corner  i can only hope |

So glad to see many people in here! I never created an account (after lurking for more than eight years), but since news are almost non-existent and the forum is filled with spam, this post serves as a great chance to join.
I always hope that someone has any more information, but here’s what I know:
-The first single, Lewis Gets Fucked Into Space, got a radio edit in March 2018.
-I think the record was postponed for at least two reasons: (i) Domino had an amazing list of releases last year (Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Blood Orange, Julia Holter, Cat Power, Tirzah, etc). They had more than one amazing album release per month, probably making them move other albums releases to 2019; (ii) Owen and Domino are waiting to have the rights back to the first two albums in order to re-release Owen’s stuff hand in hand with the album.
- I asked Richard from Arcade Fire back in August if he had heard the album and he told me he has and he thinks it’s beautiful.
-No festival or tour dates have been announced for this year
- I think the last production/arrangement wise thing I heard was that Owen made the arrangements for Frank Ocean’s Provider.

If his older two albums are being re-released alongside Island like suggested, then the wait would be even MORE worth it. Thanks for all this information! Hopefully 2019 is the year, Domino seems to have their lips sealed on this matter. The last information I know of was the portrait Owen posted on Instagram back in October with lyrics from Transformer on it.
Owen, if you're reading this in the midst of all the spam, throw us a bone!

That would make sense as an explanation. Btw, if I remember right "Perseverance of the Saints" is slated for singledom, and if it's first, it would be a good intro to the bathtub shivering mood.
