You are amazing. Just curious, how many OP shows have you been to, Jules?

As always, a wonderful upload! I think it was one of your early Owen recordings of his This Modern Love cover that made me fall in love with his music; I promptly downloaded the whole concert.

That was his first solo UK show at the Splitz club back in 2005. I remember not remembering the #1 rule of filming Owen.. always be stage left (or is that right )

Owen played a spellbinding gig in Whelans last night. All "old" solo looping stuff to start, then the band, then encores, the highlight of which for me was He Poos Clouds. Barely any breaks just songs songs songs. Really hot room, really appreciative crowd. I think he played with the band last time around too but they were more evident (or I was more attentive to them!) this time around. Rob Gordon is very metal! Riverbed and Infernal Fantasy were just fucking epic and the closing Lewis Takes Off His Shirt sent a little shiver down my spine during the last chorus. Oooh also, the Man With No Ankles had a really nice band arrangement – really saw the Les Mouches influence – with splenetic bursts of dynamic drumming. And there was a band arrangement of This Is The Dream of Win and Regine too.

Thanks for uploading them Jules! The UK shows were incredible - I just want to turn back time and relive last week on a loop (no pun intended! ) It was a dream come true to finally see Owen play Glasgow after all these years of waiting! I think the show was just about sold out and the crowd was much bigger and livelier than the two English shows! Here are the setlists: ManchesterE is for Estranged The Passions Song For Five & Six That's When The Audience Died The CN Tower Belongs to the Dead Midnight Directives Keep The Dog Quiet Soldiers Rock Secret Seven Tryst With Mephistopheles Infernal Fantasy Lewis Takes Off His Shirt The Riverbed I Am Not Afraid Lewis Takes Action The Great Elsewhere Took You Two Years To Win My Heart LeedsThis Lamb Sells Condos Song Song Song Many Lives -> 49 MP That's When The Audience Died Song For Five and Six Sky Behind The Flag Midnight Directives Keep The Dog Quiet Soldiers Rock In Conflict Tryst With Mephistopheles Secret Seven This Is The Dream of Win & Regine Infernal Fantasy Riverbed The Great Elsewhere Lewis Takes Off His Shirt Glasgow E Is For Estranged This Lamb Sells Condos The Butcher Song Song Song Song For Five & Six I Am Not Afraid The Passions Midnight Directives Scandal At The Parkade Keep The Dog Quiet Soldiers Rock Secret Seven Infernal Fantasy Bridle & Bit Tryst With Mephistopheles This Is The Dream of Win & Regine The Riverbed The Great Elsewhere Lewis Takes Off His Shirt I made an attempt at recording Bridle & Bit since it sounded slightly different to last time! I missed the very start (it started with the beats you can hear in the loop, like the album version) and there's an awkward 30 seconds of "let's change orientation... hold on, the video hasn't flipped - back to portrait!" But hopefully it's better than nothing!

Wohoo! It was just announced that Owen is going to play Finland in December. This is just wonderful news. I can't wait to hear the new songs live, it's been a while since Owen's done a gig here.
