I hope this answer was long winded enough for you! Perfectly so! I found the model on Amazon last night, too, so I'll probably be picking it up from there. Thanks again, Devin. I'll spin a hopefully unwarped "LTOHS" in your honor when the turntable comes. (Well, either that or "Poker Face"...)

My personal favourite of the remixes is still KTDQ (Bookish Remix), but I do like the LTOHS (CFCF Remix). It got a nice backbeat to it.

Yeah I really like the CFCF one. Those "pan pipe"-like sounds at the start really add something. You should have a listen to their remix of Taken By Trees' 'Anna' too:

Ok, so my second copy arrived in the mail today, but it is even more warped than the first! It's clearly from shipping damage, I checked the box before I even opened it and saw that it was bent.
This is so frustrating, what should I do? I fear I will just keep having the same problem over and over if I ask to have another mailed to me, but unfortunately 11spot doesn't do straight up refunds. Should I ask them to send me something less fragile in the vinyl's place, like a kitten or something?

...like a kitten or something? Hah! That's really inexcusable. Devin, do you get your mail delivered to your house? Is it a particularly small mailbox or something that requires the package to be folded or bent in a stupid way? I ask because if you think that the damage is occurring at your pick-up point, you'll probably want to inform your postmaster or mail carrier that they're fucking up, and leave instructions to have them deliver a package notification or something so that you can receive it by hand. (Which may require you going to a local sorting plant, which is a hassle, but at least you'd know your record is safe...) Otherwise, if you think it's just getting man-handled the whole voyage, make 11spot send a new one in better packaging. That's really ridiculous. It seems odd, though, that a vinyl would get warped in transit. It would have to be both under extremely weird pressure (like, along a particular side) and really hot, which could very well be the case during the summer. Maybe you can brusquely request that they ship it Priority or UPS so there's less lag time that could expose it to the elements. I'm not 11spot, but you still get my apologies. It really sucks to be waiting for something so long and only being able to get close. And, even more sadly, your next letter to them will probably have to be less cute. Damn.

make 11spot send a new one in better packaging. . Well if it was as well packaged as mine, including Fragile sticker wrapped round the whole thing, then they will find it hard to do anything better. Short of a wooden box, its going to be a case of talk to the postman

Mine has only been packaged in paper and a flat box, no bubble wrap or fragile labels on it anywhere. Asking for better packaging will probably help in my case.

I hate to say it, but score one for digital media. So, the product is to blame for getting warped by careless handling? I hate to say it, but it's going to be hard for me to hold my tongue if your files of this record get corrupted. "Score one for the realm of physical objects..."

As tempting as this potential argument looks, I'm gonna stay out of it and hold my mp3 player a little bit closer in the future.

I try my best not to blame inanimate objects for the conditions subjected to them. But under those same conditions, I feel an mp3 would have faired better. My files have already been corrupted once, so tongue away, but I was not so careless in their handling (yay for backups).
