That new song was the one he introduced as "Don't Stop the Party on My Account" in Chicago. I like it a lot, but I unfortunately wasn't able to record it. Maybe something will surface soon, I was on the balcony and saw someone in the crowd with a camera (not sure you're meant to have those in LH).

One security guard kicked out someone for trying to record after they were asked to stop. They were yelling at everyone who had a camera out.

One security guard kicked out someone for trying to record after they were asked to stop. They were yelling at everyone who had a camera out. Wow, harsh. It is pretty annoying sometimes though -- some guy was filming St. Vincent when I saw her in concert and he kept holding the camera right in my line of vision, despite my asking him to move one way or the other. I literally watched her perform "Marrow" on the LCD screen of his camera because it was all I could see. Not sure what the filming policy was at Chicago's Lincoln Hall show. At least one guy in the front row had a camera out. Whatever the case is, I hope all of you guys get to hear it soon. It's pretty catchy. Hopefully he'll keep it in his rotation of songs for the rest of the tour.

speaking with thomas before the birmingham show he said that they were going in to the studio in june to record OMG! Not that I'm bored of Heartland or anything but new material would be wonderful. And recording with Thomas - new input, new directions, yum!

Wow. Just wow. Owen + drum machine = good fecking music. Geeky thing I noticed: he's separating the loops for the first time and starting different ones off on their own at different times. This is bittersweet for me as I'll no longer be able to play everything he can with my humble RC-20XL. It does mean, however, more complex songs and more freedom for his composition. Which is a Good Thing. He's also going less and less acoustic. Lots more effects on the violin sound. Which is also cool.

Can't wait to attempt to learn it! It should sound cool with my new looper (which can fade out phrases! Look ma, just like o-wen!)

Oh man I was looking at one of those yesterday! Unfortunately my funds will not reach that level for many years... I got the impression though that it was more for compositional use than for a live scenario à la OP - or am I wrong?
