Cheers for the info Leon..tickets purchased and I'll spread the word. If this is anything like the last Cardiff date it will be a highlight of the tour..are there any good car parks near by?

That little unplugged set in the car park at the Gate last year was what tipped that night into the "best ever gig" category! But Union Chapel on Monday is now a real contender for that award.

How stupid of me, but let's hope he doesn't have to go into the Car park.
The organistion and late start to the whole night at the Gate was poor and I think this annoyed Owen.
Looking forward to seeing him again - will be 3 times in the last year and hoping for many more.
I had hoped he might even turn up at the Beirut gig in London

Yes the late start was annoying, I remember thinking that the supports were eating into valuable Owen time (good though Sweet Baboo was!).
But the unplugged car park set was kind of special you have to admit!

What a very strange gig last night, Mr 3 Syllables. Next Life were the support, then? They were that thrash band? How odd.

Pretty incongruous next to Owen's music. Not sure how this genre could work in the kind of serene, seated venues Owen tends to play in! They've got quite a few support slots lined up with him too. Hmm, maybe it's irony...?

But you see, it wasn't a serene seated venue at all. It was a dank black-painted RAWK dive. Owen even commented on it himself: "you wouldn't want to get married here".
