I am completely going to be there. This might be the most exciting news I have ever heard.
Every year I go to Coachella, never seeing a band/person I truly love (minus Fleet Foxes). I am in awe already.
Pallett party anyone?

The sunday has the craziest line-up, with 3 of my 4 favorite bands (Pavement, Owen, Deerhunter) as well as artists and bands I really like (Sunny Day Real Estate, Yann Tiersen), and I wouldn't turn down Spoon, Gorillaz, Thom Yorke, Charlotte Gainsbourg or Hypnotic Brass Ensemble either.

I can't make it, and I'm thinking of firing some sort of long range explosive projectile at my friend in Arizona who is considering not going.

Yeah I agree. Sunday is going to be a very good day for music imo.
I don't see how anyone wouldn't go to Coachella. Even if you can't pay, it's an easy festival to sneak into haha.

I guess I'm still holding out for a Sasquatch date + portland side show.
Owen, if you're reading this: you should play a show in portland with the portland cello project, because that would be the best thing ever to happen to the world.

I'm jealous of you people who can actually consider going to this. Fantastic lineup. Mew, Owen, Yeasayer, Coheed, Passion Pit, FNM, Dirty Projectors, Porcupine Tree, Phoenix, Yann... I can dream.

OOOOhh... Coachella, I'll actually be in Cal during then too. I don't know if I can justify the additional cost of going to a music fest. while I'm out there. <sigh> I hate temptation like this.
