I was at the gig in Helsinki. Needless to say, I absolutely loved it. I suck at writing reviews, but I'll try and mention a few things. The songs that were played (in no particular order. I didn't take notes, and I've probably forgotten some.) I added links to some videos that I came across on YouTube. E Is for Estranged (I got a bit distracted during the first song because some drunk couple pushed their way to the front) Scandal at the Parkade - www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqXE1H4xIA8This Is the Dream of Win & Regine That's When the Audience Died - www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZcxSMCmNrcHe Poos Clouds - www.youtube.com/watch?v=s55iTuR_t2gMany Lives -> 49 MP Midnight Directives Keep the Dog Quiet - www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs6zXOw3IlcMount Alpentine Lewis Takes Action The Great Elsewhere Lewis Takes Off His Shirt Independence Is No Solution The Butcher Odessa - www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRs5YkdrCpQ. The intro to this song was kinda funny, somebody decided to ask a boring question right after Owen returned to stage. This Lamb Sell Condos - www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-F7SnMuHzM. I think it was requested by Pekka Kuusisto (he's an acclaimed Finnish violinist) who asked Owen to tell the story behind the song. (There was a short article in a Finnish magazine that suggested that the two might actually collaborate on something in the future.) Thomas and Owen returned for a second encore and played Fantasy. Oh yeah, if I'm not mistaken, there was also some talk about Steve Albini, and the possibility of a Shellac cover. I was slightly disappointed that there was no merch sold a the gig. But considering my financial situation, maybe it was better that there wasn't. Anyway, maybe we get to hear that cover when Owen returns to Helsinki in August. I really need to buy that ticket. edit: Almost forgot. Vuk opened for Owen, which I thought was perfect. The funny thing is that I properly discovered her only after Owen mentioned her on Twitter last year. Then I saw her play the same festival as Owen, and became a fan. I love her newest record. I highly recommend you check her out. www.myspace.com/vukmusic

I'm not entirely sure what the policy is here with sharing files but here's my rip. If it's not okay, let me know, and I'll delete it.

He's playing in Oslo, Norway August 11th, connected to Øyafestivalen. Nobody knows though, as it was crammed within this article, and his name is nowhere to be found in the main pages. It's not even listed on owenpalletteternal.

In case you missed it in the Arcade Fire thread.. Owen is opening at Tempodrom - Berlin on 31st August.
Unfortunately if you've not got a ticket you've probably missed out because (using strict Babel fish translation) it all "Sold off"

Do you mean an Oslo show with Owen? There's a thread somewhere where he said he didn't do one, he was just there while he recovers from jet-lag.
EDIT: Oh my bad!! That was just for the 11th. Sorry!!

Great show last night at La Route du Rock!! I can't write any reviews, because all I can say is how perfect and great it was XD. My mom drove from Paris (4 hours) to take me and it was totally worth it. She also loved it. She likes the CDs but hadn't seen Owen live before and at the end said it was powerful and precise. Here's what I remember I heard, not in the right order except the first and last two songs: E is for Estranged This is the dream of Win and Regine The Great Elsewhere Scandal at the Parkade (video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iqzGF1OJtA&feature=channel (not mine)) Lewis Takes Off His Shirt That's When the Audience Died Keep the Dog Quiet Mount Alpentine Lewis Takes Action Many Lives -> 49 MP He Poos Clouds Odessa I feel like I forgot a song, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it was awesome seeing Owen and Thomas again and it made me really happy . Also Owen, thanks for the Odessa cover, I loved it, and couldn't see Caribou afterwards, so that made up for it . A picture from last night (also not mine): www.flickr.com/photos/alter1fo/4888748147/(bad hair day? ;p)

I was at the Flow Festival gig yesterday. I barely slept last night (it was too hot and kinda noisy at the hostel I was staying at) and now I'm dead tired. Anyway, I was glad that I ended up buying the ticket, although Owen was probably the only artist that I was truly interested in seeing. I wasn't too crazy about the venue (it was a small hall with limited capacity), only because I'm one of those people who finds it hard to just sit down and listen at gigs. There's a chance that I annoyed some people with my head bobbing or whatever. I'm sorry I can't think of anything interesting to say about the gig. My brain just doesn't work right now Based on what Owen's posted on Twitter, he seems to like Helsinki. Hopefully that means that he'll be back next year. Also Owen, thanks for the Odessa cover, I loved it, and couldn't see Caribou afterwards, so that made up for it . Hehe, I feel the same way. Caribou is playing Flow tonight but I could only afford a one-day ticket. It's funny, apart from Owen, I found Friday and Sunday's lineups more interesting than Saturday's.
