Yeah names, I was slightly right of centre, about 4-5 rows back. Unless there was someone nearby who also called for that song. I was singing along quietly (occasionally loudly), to be honest I try not to sing along loudly because I want to hear Owen, and I doubt the people near me want to hear me either Also delighted with Song Song Song, but he didn't play the bit I really like. I think. I mean the bit that's based on a slightly different chord progression with the cool lead violin part. BTW sounded amazing. The sound was absolutely perfect, I could have been watching the FM4 show for all I could tell!

fantastik gig! wonderful performances of some songs that i hadn't heard live before - especially song song song and took you two years to win my heart... his pitchshifter double bass pizz trick (or whatever it is) is just so fucking cool.

The crowd was a bit less formal tonight, but the show itself was a bit less intense than it was yesterday, and the set was a bit less friendly to my ears. I don't know though, the way it ended last night was so perfect it will be hard for anything to live up to it for me; I mean that Better Than Worse was really, really special.
I had a great spot to record but the two very loved-up gay dudes standing in front of me decided it was make-out time, and I didn't want to creep them out by leering over them with a video camera. I must say though, I've never seen anybody more insensibly delighted to hear a Mariah Carey song in my whole life.

I am gutted about it. It's the second time I've not been able to go see Owen 'cos of an age restriction, too (the first being Field Day festival last year, which I suppose he couldn't really help). Age restrictions bug me so much, like don't get me started. I've loved Owen since I was thirteen, so how come half the time I'm not allowed to see him play? Waah etc. And this entire post applies to me actually, except I've only seen him once at the Union Chapel, and also that time with Patrick.

I was there, it wasn't Owen at his best, but he was chirpy enough - this is my video of it: and when I met him after his set he was friendly and smiley! But yeah it was nothing nearly as good as the Cardiff gig the day after, or the Union Chapel gig, for so many reasons.

ben, at the very start of your clip you can hear owen say "ah, who cares" The full quote is: "Thanks so much... How are you doing? Alright lets see, what can I do now?.... Sounds really weird up here, let me just see what's going on... Nah that's fine, who cares....."

So the de Duif concert yesternight was quite nice. Got to sit in the front row biting my nails and enjoying the Owenness. It was nice to hear the new sounds with some extra instruments on stage. Also, the opening act was the most insane thing ever and I loved it

Okay.. Britain, if you've not brought a ticket yet, you'd better get a move on because it all starts tomorrow in Wales.

Owen is playing in Bergen, Norway, at Landmark June 3rd. THANK YOU OWEN FOR HEARING MY PRAYERS I am bedazzled with happiness right now. Now just hoping it won't collide with an exam.
