www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz0y21c-BBIDoes anybody else have this problem? Whenever I get to a difficult part in a song my face goes into convulsions. At one part it even looks like I'm chewing. I think all of my future shows have to be played in total darkness. That, or I'm buying a mask. I've always admired Owen Pallett's audacity to disguise his presence with projectors and really attractive back-up vocalists; perhaps I should follow his example. This video was recorded by my friend Brendan at the Free Times Cafe's "best of the open stage" for research purposes.

Aw, lovely video . You didn't look like you were convulsing, just concentrating..! Maybe try practicing in front of a mirror? I'm not sure how I look when it gets to difficult bits, but I'm sure I pull silly faces when I hit wrong notes on occasion... Mx

You are just a tense muffin, boy, I think we've had this discussion before. That I always feel you're about to explode. Faces? who gives a shit? I'm pretty sure everyone has their weird habits, I know I've got my share.

Dude, awesome. I am joining the chorus of asking for more, especially if you have anything in the vein of those video game soundtracks you mentioned in the other thread.

Thanks to all of you that listened and liked it. I'm gonna do the Owen here and say this is the least skilled string quartet - it's actually the first thing I ever scored for strings. As I mentioned, it's the first of seven, all written within a semester, each of one correlates to a celestial virtue. This one is Diligence. There is a chance I am getting the third one played in November. If it comes out, I'll post a video of it here. It's true - unfortunately, string players tend to run from my quartets like hell; this one must have scared them. The second one is even harder, but from then on they're really easy in general. (will send scores if they are asked for!) [protest]It's so hard to get people to play your compositions.[/protest] On my videogame soundtracks, I'm uploading a demo reel. It's old, old, old and doesn't include some fancy electronic tracks I did on May/June that really should be there. There goes. rapidshare.com/files/419858175/Rafael_Langoni_Smith_-_Demo_Reel_02-10.mp3 Says it can be downloaded ten times. I like it. If any of you try to download it and don't manage to do it, just send me a PM and I'll email lots of stuff.

So, I just released an album called Pill Weekend, featuring that Owen Pallett cover of "Dont Stop" I've been working on for the last little bit. Feel free to grab it here... jadedhipsterchoir.bandcamp.com

I'm visiting this thread once in a while, and I'm always very impressed with what I hear. Fucking awesome. I'm looking forward to the future when you're all famous and someone discovers that you all were members of this forum!

Oops - my myspace is www.myspace.com/mattwinkworth ^_^ Update: I got a song played on our local BBC Radio station! You can hear it here (you might need to be in the UK for it to work) about five minutes in: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00b3tmd
