Tristan, I am putting that quote in my bio. I hope that is okay. <3 Too late, I copyrighted it at the last second. You now owe me 7 million dollars. I don't understand why people have been asking to quote me; it's not as if I'm important or anything. Maybe I could be like one of those celebrities who's just famous for being famous, as in no one knows how or why, like Paris Hilton. Quote away!

I just found this awesome video with Giraffedactyl and our very own Jaded Hipster Choir! I can barely sit still; this sounds awesome Thomas!

Thanks but that was a really weird show.
A) Using a nord stage for the first time. Didn't realise it only had four patches.
B) One too many amaretto and cokes.
C) weird camera angle.
D) Thanks though. :0|

Hey all.. long-time lurker and big fan of Owen. Noticed this thread and thought I'd share something I recently recorded. I'm currently finishing my first album in over 8 years... I gave up music for various self-hating reasons but now I'm giving it another shot. I'd love to know what fellow like-minded musical people think. Thanks everyone for the lovely reading. www.gregcamilleri.com/media/aitp/Greg_Camilleri_-_all_in_the_plans_(early_strings_demo).mp3

This sounds really great, Greg! Keep making more of it, don't get too discouraged. And, of course, WELCOME! We're a friendly bunch, so feel free to post whatever to get opinions!

Greg, that was lovely. The expressive horn meshed really amazingly over the simple guitar line, and your voice just fits the feel. As it evolved you added in more strangenesses, chords waiting to bloom into others, and that made it even more excitement, as if this seated and melancholic place and progress to other different places. In that way I was really drawn along, and stunnned in parts. Do you have other things? Haha, root directories.

Wow...... thanks for the quick responses. Yeah, that track was for an indie movie that ended up not happening... it's kind of an anomaly since I don't know how I should release it. Basically I have literally like 100 songs in various states, so I've just been kind of tinkering with them and figuring out a semi-cohesive record. Really appreciate the comments. Sometimes recording by yourself in a tiny apartment can make you go rather batty. It's good to know it's not entirely in vein. That song by Owen "E is for Estranged" really hit home for me lyrically. Well, except for the Ketamine part. I can't stand that drug.

Hello! So, I have a couple of studio recordings which are finally at a state where I'd like to nervously and cautiously share them with your trusted ears, and welcome any feedback - they're not set in stone, so any comments on mix, arrangement, etc. as well as general responses, all gratefully considered... They're both my own compositions/orchestrations and almost everything was recorded live, rather than using samples (orchestral percussion being possibly the only exception, though I think the samples are good enough that it hardly seems worth the effort of recording them). www.4shared.com/audio/RIPwdDql/tea_31aug10.htmlwww.4shared.com/audio/DdQVmTMn/Sea_31aug10FIN.htmlWell, that's all... Thanks in advance for listening PS. please don't share these links elsewhere!

^Oh, wow! I love this. Sounds amazing. The 2:36 part on the first track is so cool xD It makes me think of Simon bookish. I'm not so great at music so sorry I can't give a more useful comment, but I'm really enjoying hearing all your arrangements and stuff. Owen-related and otherwise.
P.S. I know it's probably because I'm from the north and we all live in mines but your accent is soooo posh xD

Aw heathen that's so pretty! Your voice fits so perfectly with the feeling of the type of music you're playing. I love the harmony in the second one. So cool. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments, guys! Really glad you like them! gammonize - I don't have a particularly posh accent by Oxford standards hehe, but I guess it is quite... southern...! an Ameteur - yes, perpetually writing a musical, but never end up sticking with any ideas. Need a writing partner/collaborator really to keep me on track. Hopefully these tracks aren't too Disney/Menken-esque though... Thanks again . I'll post a few more tracks at some point when they're in better states!

Re: Disney-esque: There was a spot in "Sea" that made part of "Hello Dolly!" pop into my head. In the best possible way.
