you did Staralfur! Ive been on a hunt for string arrangements for that song much longer than it'd take for me just to figure it out... good job! looked like a lot of fun. Yeah, that one I had to figure out myself and ended up getting a lot wrong, so everyone had to collaborate and go through my mistakes, haha. If you are talented at that sort of thing, the acoustic version from Hvarf/Heim makes it a lot easier to hear. And yes, it was a lot of fun :]

This Is The Dream Of Win & Regine by Miss Cayley Jane www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEibxlY2lasThis girl must have one impressive lung span to play this old melody on solo flute. Not a complete cover, but worth acknowledging nonetheless.

The Miner Becomes Forgetful by some amateur www.sendspace.com/file/kwh1zrI bought a glockenspiel, which is a lot harder to play than it looks, so I decided to test it out with a cover of an old favourite.

Dude. You are so talented. Seriously, that was amazing; it gave me chills. So, you know, if you ever decide to become a famous musician and go on tour in or around New Jersey...let me know. You could play me music, and I could give you money. Everybody wins! ;D Also, while I was listening to it, my mom was hanging in the doorway listening. About halfway through, she shook her head and said, "Wow. That is so weird. I'm either captivated, or I'm going crazy. It's beautiful, though." That's a really huge compliment.

On the strength of that performance, no need to hide. Not at all.

Ahh, thanks both! It's scary a) putting anything on youtube because all* commenters are horrible b) sharing a cover with a fan community and c) 'cos that song has so many shouty bits that are Owen's not mine...! Glad you weren't horrified hehe Mxx *obviously NOT all, but y'know.

and c) 'cos that song has so many shouty bits that are Owen's not mine...! I did think you picked a difficult one to share with us because of the shouty bits, but you pulled it off :-)

I'm working on it... And I sure hope your Mom isn't going crazy! I suppose if you took all the covers in this thread, you'd have enough songs to make an album! Thanks for taking the time to listen to all of them. Let's all take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this thread, and what a great guy I am for starting it. Sorry, Blue Imelda's comment has me feeling a little narcissistic, so I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts. [Insert appropriate emoticon].

[Insert appropriate emoticon]. thank goodness we don't have that emoticon here. -but tristan, fantastic cover! Awesome to here the sheets played by something other then the sib/midi you shared Matt! my good friend julia, who's a wonderful pianist has been studying the sheets for the last couple weeks. she told me she wont let me hear it until its "perfect". blah, I have no patience.
