From Spectrum, 14th Century, "The Butcher". From Plays To Please, "Ultimatum". You can hear them over at www.stereogum.com. I hope you enjoy the flavour of the taste.

You've changed the course of my day towards amazing. edit: I posted that before I even listened, now I'm in heaven: tomlab EP recording style+bird calls!!! and I'm glad you kept the falsetto in the butcher, for some reason I was afraid you were gonna take it out, but it totally makes the emotion.

I'm loving these.
When will pre-orders go up? I'm really anxious about making sure I get these.

Cool, it doesn't sound like past works of yours (maybe the X 7"). Andrew Bird plays on the Lukashevsky EP? ...or is this Stereogum imagery?

The whistling made you think that, eh? "On it, six Lukashevsky originals are reconfigured for a 35-piece big band, the Toronto-based St. Kitts Orchestra (which includes Drumheller's Nick Fraser, Paul Mathew of the Hidden Cameras, and a whistling Andrew Bird, among others). "Ultimatum" offers an idea of what to expect."Yeah, I guess.

Ah, this seriously made my night. I've been looking forward to the studio recording of "The Butcher" more than anything else, and I am very, very pleased with it. The feeling of the live performances is still there, but the instrumentation adds several more interesting dimensions to it. "Ultimatum" is pretty great, too. I can't wait to get my hands on these EPs even moreso now.
