I remember once I told someone I was mixed raced (chinese on mum's side) to some philistine in my high school, and all she could say to me was something along the lines of "like, do you ever feel some strong affinity with eastern culture and couture? like, do you ever feel that you need to learn the language and sort of take up pastimes like martial arts?"

Haha. I remember we had to learn Mandarin Chinese in primary school, I sucked so bad at it! The best grade I could ever get was a C. It would have been kinda cool to know some of my own language though. Other than my appearance, I'm pretty much a full Aussie and totally didn't fit the chinese-kid stereotype that we had here as I was never into cartoons or anime, I didn't do "smart" subjects like maths C and science C and I didn't get straight A's. I did however play piano and violin which seems stereotypical of a lot of chinese kids here, but I quit piano after a year when I was 7 because I hated practicing (and oh how i regret it now! Then I wouldn't be teaching myself music theory off the internet).

I did have soup tonight It was potato soup out of the can, but it tasted good with pizza crusts. Which sounds gross, but isn't.

haha!! yah, i'm so tragically awful at deciphering lyrics (& yet still insist on trying to sing harmony to everything. gah! there's a lot of "mmmm mm mmm's & lala lalallaaaaa-ing involved) that whenver they're included i'm so very grateful! especially since owen's voice is usually found a bit lower in the mix than most artists do.

and it was gay pride week in toronto this past week, today was the big finale parade. i didn't go though, i had to go to a garden party which got rained on by a nasty thunderstorm. but hey, at least they had free stella. ;D

Also, no, they don't do them on my crappy little rock anymore because apparently they were too unhealthy, it only took them about 6 years to ban them, by then I was hooked and when they took them away, there was a giant gaping loveless void in my chest... so yeah

I tried going to London pride once, but we were very drunk and somehow ended up in Newcastle... it just goes to show I really have no co-ordination skills...

*rolls eyes again* why the hell would someone want to blow up a freaking gay bar anyway? egadz! I love it that the majority of the people here are too stupid to even make a bomb, I on the other hand do, its on my cd case, its tom jones, A SEX BOMB!
