Dawg this shiz is sweet yo... as per, there's another asian prodigy child in the related videos... gahhh they terrify me. I remember we were over in France once and there was this busker kid playing away on the violin and he was something retarded like 6 and he was playing at hyper speeds... his dad scared me though... most busker men do because I once had a day out with the goth and there were these blatant illegal immigrants busking on the street, a man and presumably his two sons and one of them must have not played in key or something because the man got really really angry and started playing his accordion really aggressively and dischorded-ly while gesturing violently at the child.... luckily there were cops nearby and he didn't hit them... at least then anyway...

This is going to sound really weird, but can anyone recommend me any music that reminds them of autumn/winter? I'm a little stuck and making a playlist :/ Happy birthday Scarychips

Happy birthday Mr. Scary! My internet is on dialup speed, ick. As for autumnish/wintery songs, perhaps December by Regina Spektor. Or, So Long Lonesome by Explosions in the Sky, it has nice tinkly piano and chimey sounds which is kinda wintery. Hmm, this is hard...

Awsome so far I've crammed it full of random acoustic bands, some ff, some patrick wolf, boards of canada and *throws up* Tori Amos. I've not listened to Explosions in the sky since I went through my emo phase good call! give this a try: www.myspace.com/bombsbeaufort listen to "the girl from byakkoya" it's so cheery and weird.

Hehe, Tori Amos. I was going to suggest Precious Things Actually, speaking of Tori Amos, maybe you should throw some Kate Bush in the mix. Wuthering Heights sounds kinda cold and wintery! That myspace page is taking a shamefully long time to load D: But ooh, I see they're Australian! Ohhh, speaking of female singers, Australia and winter playlists, put some Sarah Blasko in www.myspace.com/sarahblasko . When I hear her voice, I think of Tilda Swinton as the witch in Narnia, I don't know why though. [the page isn't loading for me, but i trust the player has songs from her latest album on it!]

I don't mind Tori Amos, except that after Deathcab for cutie, the is one of the most self pitying singers out there, but I'll always respect her for fighting tooth and nail to get big, in case you haven't been made aware of her past band "Y kant tori read?" give a listen to "the big picture" it's wonderfully crap 80s montage music at its best! also what she's wearing in the video is awesome she reminds me of a pirate! Oh man I'm putting this on my Ipod and listen to this while I'm in the gym ahahahahahaaaaa www.myspace.com/ykantoriread I miss kate Bush, she's freaking insane and makes me want to run around in the fields behind my parents house screaming "Heathcliffe etc etc.". I'm liking Blasko she reminds me sort of the lead from Eisley, blergh family bands creep me out. How are you anyway today?

It's just hit me how much of an idiot I am... I'm making soup on the gas stove and i spilled a little on the side of the oven and i go and wipe it with a towel while it's still on.
+2 fire hazard.

Haha, that creates a rather funny mental image! I'm reading Wuthering Heights at the moment and when it comes to Cathy's character, all I can picture is a really young Kate Bush whirling around in a white dress making funny faces.
Well it is 2:51am so I am off to bed, it's a public holiday today so I can sleep in til 12, or even 2pm. Not that that's different from any other day seeing as I don't have a proper job! Ohhh, I should find some sort of proper employment. Maybe.
I hope your soup-making goes okay!
