It's ok. I'll probably change avatars a lot, though probably not my name. I'm tired.

If it makes you feel better I've long given up on writing a good essay, you learn to ignore the sinking feeling. Also, gay daleks scare me.

oh trust me, my bad essay was much bad-er. it had to share my "personal thoughts and feelings" after attending a conservatory performance. it was full of so much bull sh it i almost believed it myself.
now i'm just procrastinating so i don't have to do my taxes. eep.

I'm in an internet café. Mariah Carey's Fantasy is on the televisions in here. Provoked me to check these boards. I'm procrastinating on working on my disseration. and now the internet has cut out so I can't post this. yet. ooh it's back. I'm also trying to find a summer job from 5,000 miles away that pays more than my regular bookstore job. I'm also distracting myself with www.asofterworld.com/

APPRECIATE MUSIC.
It should be required in all schools, everywhere. Force-feed them Fauré, shove Shostakovich down their throats. Bang Bach and the Beatles into their heads! Our dystopian society is one of *culture* goddammit!
(Pfft, as if people can be *taught* to appreciate music.)
I don't know where I was going with that.
debodormir: A Softer World is amazingly awesome. I'm working on a piece right now that's using some of the text from it, recorded and messed-around-with digitally. With piano, conch, and ocarina.

^ www.dancopulsky.com/asofterbiblefellowship.htmla mashup of asofterworld and perry bible fellowship. and if it wasn't for the fact that my degree revolves around learning languages and I am therefore stuck in Spain, I'd totally be at Joey Comeau's book reading in London on April 15. grrr

I love his books. Next time he is in Toronto for a reading, I am cancelling everything and going.

I've only read some of his short stories on the Internet and the seven chapters of Lockpick Pornography. A Softer World is gorgeous though.

Ocarina is the best though, I remember when i used to be scared of the bottom of the well. I would breath out and be like "okay, lets do this" The... well? I don't remember that, what pleased me was I just found out that the Ocarina function is based on sheet music I used to get scared running around the Hylian fields at night and kept hiding in the moat until day came so the monsters couldn't get me, alas no such joy in twilight which may I add is far too dark, brutal and grown up for my taste.
