Hiyas, I'm Catharine from Vancouver/BC, 28 years old, and a writer. Just finishing my MFA at UBC right now, but will most likely be heading to TO later for more institutional learning & creative development, whatever. Played the violin for 10 years once upon a time! Saw Owen for the first time a weeks ago in Van and then in Victoria--that one was transcendental, really.

Hello! I'm Kat, I live in Sheffield having recently moved here from Portsmouth. I work in social services and spend all my free time(and money) going to gigs. I first heard Owen support, and then play with, Arcade Fire in Manchester, May 2005. Since then I've been lucky enough to see him a few more times and looking forward to his visit to Leeds in a couple of weeks.

hello!
my name is David, i'm putting on Owen's show in Sunderland and I can't remember how i first heard final fantasy, prollies through the Pitchfork website. i thought it was some of the most perfect music i'd ever heard and i spent the next 6 months pestering Owen's agent to let him come play the north east.
I study Applied Communication at newcastle university, which is rubbish, and i also run the university music magazine. i put on gigs in my vast amounts of spare time and yet still manage to do very well on my course in spite of the fact that it's essentially an afterthought in life. this year is scaring me a lot because i'm so incredibly busy.
i didn't travel this summer like the rich people at my uni because i spent the entire summer handing out flyers, making copied cds and generally devoting my life to get people to see Owen in Sunderland. I hope this will pay off. I have no special talents of my own and try to make up for this by bringing especially talented people to my two cities Sunderland and Newcastle and trying to make them money and make friends with them. I plan to leave this palce one day because i have an incredibly hard time meeting people (and i know this sounds self indulgent) who are as passionate about music as i am. i have dreams where i move to Omaha like in the rilo kiley song.

Hi. I went to high school with "Owen" back in Milton. Great to hear of your success and I'm hoping to reconnect with your music. If you can believe it, "Owen" and I used to play at church together! Anyways - to quote Cdn. idol - good on ya! If "Owen" reads this, send me an email. A kid from our church is doing a Masters in composition at U of T. I'd love the two of you to have coffee together sometime. Why "Owen"? Isn't that his real name? Anyway, I'm Emma and I live in Cardiff. I have mentioned elsewhere on this board that I read the fairly bad review in Word magazine, and thought, ooh, pretentious? That sounds like me then. I went on Hype Machine, and was hooked instantly. I've never loved anything so immediately, and This Lamb Sells Condos is the perfect song of the year in my opinion. I've never been able to get into The Arcade Fire. They do nothing for me.

elmsyrup, "Owen" isn't his given name. He's got a ton of names and Owen is what he goes by now.

Why "Owen"? Isn't that his real name? But what if it wasn't after all?

Why "Owen"? Isn't that his real name? But what if it wasn't after all? Nothing. His name could be Peter. Ted. Omar. Bjorn. Gunnar. Siegfried. Whatever. The music counts, and it stays the same with different names. It's all about the gossip.

Hi! 20 year-old-girl here, in Lisbon. I study Political Science and International Relations, and I love music. My all time favourite singer-songwriter is Rufus Wainwright and... my english sucks. Actually my german is better than my english (weird stuff, hun?).
Well, i found this place searching for the FF's songs violin notes (er.. in portuguese we say notação, i'm not sure.).

I'm 18 and from Newcastle, England. I went to Owen's show in Sunderland which mrdave put on (see above by a few posts) and it was awesome. He should know that his efforts were not in vain at all and that the loyal FF fans up here love him for his work. FF is my favourite artist at the moment, without exception. I look forward to 'Heartland' next year and I would give anything to see Owen again. And again. And again...

Hi! I just got here really, nice to meet you all! I live in a seaside town just outside of Vancouver where I frequently go to blow all my grocery $$ on albums & shows. Hmmm.... that's kinda my life, music/art/writing/friends/assorted silliness!! There's usually lots of people at my house & it's my mission to feed them all tea. Sometimes there's random couch surfers. They get odd concoctions I call dinner w/their tea. 100 years ago I studied classical piano & am currently teaching myself violin. Yes! Laugh!!! Ha Ha!! It's totally ridiculous & sooo amazingly fun!!!! I bought a ticket to ff last summer just because my friend has great taste in music, oh how right she was!!!!! I don't really think I've been the same since... cheezy but true!! This year is already turning out quite brilliant with 2 upcoming ff shows in 2 months!!!!! Yay! 2007!!! (i think the exclamation mark is the zeus of punctuation)

I'm Cody! I'm 17 years old and am from a small town outside of Edmonton, Alberta. I'm pretty sure I found out about Final Fantasy simply through other forums, which I lurk in during most of my spare time. I am in my last year of high school and am going to Grant MacEwan College next year, but I'm still not quite too sure what I'm going to study. I play the guitar, piano, and am currently learning to play violin (inspired by Owen obviously). I like to play, write, and listen to music during most of my day. Besides that, I read quite a bit and would like to start taking a lot more photographs now that I have a camera. I don't get to go to too many shows because I live in a small town and not many shows come through Edmonton, so I'm very thankful that bands like Arcade Fire and Final Fantasy came through.
