My name is Luke. I reside in a little village named Ennismore in Ontario. I am currently looking for work and am no further in life than I was when I graduated from high school two years ago. I have no friends or social life and waste my life playing games, listening to music, reading, appreciating art, and wishing I could play an instrument other than the bass clarinet (which I stopped after high school and can't afford right now). I hope to take sound technology in a year or two.
I came across Final Fantasy when I saw his music video for 'This Is the Dream Of Win and Regine'. I loved it and wrote it down but I lost the paper, but I never forgot the name because I love the games. I kind of forgot about it until I was in Toronto and was going to buy the most recent album by The Streets. It was a few days after the release of 'He Poos Clouds' and there were some displays about it so I bought it instead, even though I hadn't heard anything from it or anything by Final Fantasy for over a year.
Needless to say, it was a decision I did not regret.

And about the bass clarinet -- I'd try to get back on it as soon as possible. I'm dabbling with keyboard right now, and it's so very exciting. I dropped flute, which I played for three years when I was younger, also due to money, and I really wish I could've kept it. What's your favourite Final Fantasy song?

Hey people. I'm Matt, just outside of Chicago, Illinois (USA).
I am a newcomer to hell freshman in high school. I play violin and tuning pitchpipe, and occasionally throw in some keyboard and guitar, despite the fact I can play neither. I spend my spare doing very odd things, occasionally writing/recording covers but mainly transcribing music and lyrics, along with reading and whatnot.
I found FF (and basically everything, actually) through the Arcade Fire. Go figure.
I (kind of? maybe?) run a music blog, but I don't tend to it well.
It just occurred to me that I am almost at 100 posts, and I'm not sure how to handle that.
Hi.

Hi! I'm Anne (32) living in Brussels, Belgium.
Graduated as a Journalist and am now finishing a degree in Archeology. I like taking pictures at gigs, trying to convince myself I'm gonna be a singer and travelling to the uk. I'll be getting there twice this week, just to go to gigs, ha!
Got into FF after his supporting act with Arcade Fire. I wasn't there, but a friend who was told about it, and I enquired further more.

Hello all.
I agree there are some pretty names. : )
Lovely to meet you all..
I discovered FF at the Arcade Fire gig at the Astoria, London. "This is our friend Owen, blah, blah, blah. He is going to play you some of his tunes" Needless to say the first thing he did was make up laugh then left us slack jawed with his music.
Anne. I take it you'll be there for PW at Koko!

I'd get back to the bass clarinet sooner if it weren't so damned expensive. Basic student models will run you close to or over $2000 (Canadian). If you want orchestra quality then you approach the $10000 mark. I thought about the clarinet since they're far cheaper but, like before, I am severely lacking in the financial department. I think I'm going to pick up the keyboard soon too since there's one collecting dust in my basement. My favourite Final Fantasy song is a toss up between 'The Miner Becomes Forgetful' (as my user name implies) and 'Jars of Lars', because I feel that they combine elements from both of his albums. 'That's When the Audience Died' is really up there too. They're all great songs, really.

She loves every minute of it. My favourite is definitely Song Song Song, but I do love That's When the Audience Died as well. I was introduced to Owen by means of a This is the Dream of Win and Regine clip a friend sent me. I'm not familiar with the two you mentioned, because I'm lackign in finance as well.

Forgetful Miner--I feel your pain. I'm still deeply in debt from the purchase of my oboe. Professional quality oboes cost around $7000, but I was lucky--the prof at my university got me an amazing used instrument for considerably less. Still...
Here's a thought--try renting one.

I'm not familiar with the two you mentioned, because I'm lackign in finance as well. 'The Miner Becomes Forgetful' and 'Jars of Lars' are both on his 'Stigmata' single. You could probably order it and it may not exceed $10. I highly recommend it. Forgetful Miner--I feel your pain. I'm still deeply in debt from the purchase of my oboe. Be thankful you didn't take as much interest in the bassoon. Their prices are astronomical. I hadn't thought of renting, but if I did I would want to take lessons or some kind of education that would bring me to a more professional level. It all comes back to money. Plus, I'd have to look really hard for two reasons: 1. I live in a small town with about a half dozen music shops. 2. Since the popularity of the bass clarinet isn't so big, the likelihood that somebody will have one is extremely slim. It's not an investment a lot of smalltown music stores are into, I'm sure.

It's worth giving a look. I don't know many accordion players, but the one music shop in my area has about six of them.

Hi. I went to high school with "Owen" back in Milton. Great to hear of your success and I'm hoping to reconnect with your music. If you can believe it, "Owen" and I used to play at church together! Anyways - to quote Cdn. idol - good on ya! If "Owen" reads this, send me an email. A kid from our church is doing a Masters in composition at U of T. I'd love the two of you to have coffee together sometime.
