Whoa, pricey! I happened to get mine in Phoenix at Stinkweeds, very awesome indepent shop. Mine ended up being like 17 dollars or so, I'm not sure where you can go to buddy, erp erp erp. Try and get a local shop to import it for you.
Good luck!

the boxes of records were shipped over to n. america just last week, following several screwups by the manufacturers.
there were three test presses sent back, i think. we were supposed to have it for the european tour.
anyway, it's not tomlab's fault, and it's here now. don't order it overseas! the best way to get it is to ask your local record store to stock it.
i don't think it'll be up here in toronto until next week, too bad.

I don't think this is Owen would want (judging merely from the lyrics "do not offer me a contract/got not use for a house by the seat"), but "Has a Good Home" could, I think, be very successful here in the US on a semi-mainstream level. You know, not like whatever wretched mainstream act is big these days, but successful in terms of crossing beyond the traditional indie demographic (like, say, The Postal Service). Every single person (yes, EVERY person) I have played the album for has fallen in love with it. (And no, I didn't burn it for them, I told them to buy it for themselves!) And that includes various hard-to-please groups, like my parents and people who mostly listen to mainstream music.

mainstream success makes musicians depressed. if i sell 100,000 records, i fake my death and start a soup shop in parkdale.
as for "why isn't the record in stores yet?" be patient. tomlab = people working hard. carrot top works hard. everybody is doing their part.
if it makes you feel any better, i still haven't received my box of vinyl magic. so we're both in the same boat. (i hope it looks good)

Congratulations, that's pretty fucking awesome.
On the down side, only the same sales again and you fake your own death etc. That would be a bit crappy.
