the reason i "censored" your post was because you were posting a PM - a Private Message - if the person who wrote it wanted it posted, s/he would have put it in a thread rather than sent it to you personally - whatever you guys want to say to each other in PM's is up to you

as for when i've cut stuff, i've done it when the flaming has gotten excessive - saying what you said in that post was excessive, just like what i cut in the post about jamie's comments on the blog - if you've actually paid attention, i rarely moderate anything, but since you have a tendency to write inflammatory remarks, you will also have a tendency to be "censored"

as for "freedom of speech", of course you have the right to say whatever the hell you want - and fortunately, i have the right to remove it if it's obnoxious - it's a win-win situation
