i'm not too proud to come to terms with the fact that i chose to write things that ended up offending people. i've taken responsibility for those words. more than once. if you had read everything, you'd know that.

this IS about censorship, because i've said flat out that i am not a racist and i do not agree with genuine racist speech or action. the reality of it is that you think you're seeing "through" me, and you think you're telling everybody something that they don't already know. i definitely thought it was funny/amusing enough to share with other people. how many times do i have to say the same thing?

tell me where i said "that's just bullshit" and i'm sure i have good reason to defend myself in that. i just can't find where i wrote it. on the subject, though. if it's not getting me anywhere, then it can't get jamie anywhere. or you anywhere. right?

i can't believe i'm getting e-lynched for being a rational human being who is tolerant of everyone's beliefs and opinions. we're brought up to be tolerant of everybody else's religious beliefs, sexual orientation, etc. the kkk were originally a militant christian organization. why should i look upon that any differently than any other religious organizations, or religious beliefs? in no way do i tolerate or respect racist ACTIONS. i've said that. twice. i've explained everything there is to explain and it's still not getting through to you, and others.

we tolerate religious beliefs so long as they don't impede upon certain basic human rights. we tolerate the ideas that might oneday again lead to injustices... why is racism any different?

i thought it would be a quick and easy way to give insight into the type of person my dad is.

and yes, it was in a way funny and amusing.

i'm also sorry for living in a world where people are so easily offended, and so quick to censor.

the only thing that i can make sense of, is how jamie doesn't want racism related with xiu xiu at all. i understood that way before i even made the SECOND post with that racial slur. to admit a flaw, though. it didn't dawn on me that even if i were to write something on the blog, not being in xiu xiu, it would somehow get associated with the band to some people. i didn't understand that until semi-recently.

miranda, perhaps the reason the attacks have come on even stronger recently is that you're contradicting yourself... either you want to explain yourself/argue a point, or you want the whole thing to end. but this whole "i'm not racist, and i'd like it if everyone shut up now" everytime there's a response sounds like a case of "the lady doth protest too much, methinks," if a theatre major might be allowed a cliche quotation

i'm incredibly annoyed and bored about this. but as long as i'm still getting attacked, and people are still talking about it... then i'll reply. and i'll correct them when they're wrong.

i should have explained that, 'cause it does look like i'm contradicting myself. but never once have i said i wouldn't talk about it, or asked somebody else not to talk about it. the closest thing to that i've said is that it's a boring topic to some extent. which it is. but no matter how boring it is, as long as i'm still getting attacked. i'm going to continue to explain whatever i have to explain, or ask questions, etc.

but about having half a brain. i don't know what effects the drugs have had on yours but, i don't have half a brain. i have a whole one, and it takes a whole brain to discuss things that actually have significance. because i've read the kind of lame ass threads that go on forever that you and your little friend start or post to. so i guess that topics that actually matter go for "boring" to apathetic people such as you and your friend. i detest apathy, and won't accept it as a reason to cease to state my opinion on something i consider quite important.

E-Lynching seems accurate enough to me. Your constant reliance on personal attacks as opposed to arguing the completely valid points she's brought up don't help your case at all. I'll admit that she may be wrong about some things, but you've said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that makes me think that you might be right. It's like you're willfully ignorant of the things she's said and go out of your way not to address them at all, whereas she pays you the proper respect of addressing the points you attempt to make, no matter how banal and obvious they are.
