you guys have any fun / memorable xiu xiu show moments?
I guess this ones more of a collective joke, but the happy birthday merch guy stunt was pretty good.

Just fucking being there was amazing, and hearing carallee singing.
Oh, and the I love the valley stunt when some guy yelled it and the rest of the crowd yelled out the OH!

xiu xiu's sets themselves are my best memories, but i also have some worst memories:
like at the first show of theirs i went to. i went with a friend and we hadn't seen each other in awhile and she had just revealed some pretty deeply personal and sad and scary stuff that happened during the time we hadn't talked. so anyway, good for cows was playing and this guy shoved his way up to the front from the back and stood right in front of her so she couldn't see, so she obviously got kind of pissed off. so while all this was happening jamie was right in front of me in the crowd (which was freaking me out) and he was becoming noticeably annoyed by the fact that some people were talking. so i tried to calm my friend down by telling her "don't get mad" (about the guy who got in front of her)....but then jamie turned around and i guess he thought i was being a smart ass telling HIM not to "get mad" because he gave me a look and then he taped this picture of a little boy with a red balloon on his back and i could be mistaking but i think he was scratching his neck with his middle finger. and i wanted to die because the last thing on earth i would ever want to do at my first xiu xiu show was piss off jamie. i had obsessed about that night for weeks before and things just went horribly wrong.
so if your reading this jamie. i apologize, i wasn't telling you not to "get mad", and i love you.
then after my second xiu xiu show some friends pushed me into going and saying hi to jamie even though i wasn't going to, because it made me enormously nerveous. so the idea was that my friend's friend who had already met jamie before would introduce me to him. so i went up with him and after talking to him for awhile the guy introduced me and jamie was really nice and asked my name and i told him, and he said "nice to meet you, i'm jamie" and on the inside i was saying "i know who you are jamie, im only obsessed with you!!!" but on the outside i was speechless! so he probably thought i was just some guy that my friend's friend had dragged to the show and he went back to talking to him and i just walked away. it was awful. to freeze up in front of someone i admire so much and not be able to tell him how much he means to me, how much the band means to me. once again, something i had obsessed about for weeks had gone wrong.
"what's done is done, it cannot be undone"

My best memory is not of Xiu Xiu themselfs, but of this song is a mess. Everyone, with the exception of maybe 10 people covered thier ears and had an expression of pain. It was perfect.

It was perfect. ha ha ha! that happened at the show i went to too! and i almost fainted because of a combination of freddy's set and not having eaten all day. my ear lobes were fucking vibrating and my head felt like it was going to explode! it was great!

during "i broke up" they stopped playing and we screamed "this is the worst vacation ever..." with them.
then after the show, i said hi to jamie, and i think he meant to shake my hand, but i hugged him and he got his sweat on me.
when freddy played here in fresno, a girl wrote them a note saying, "your bips and boops were the best thing to come to fresno in a long time."

first time i saw xiu xiu and he announced he was playing a new song called fabulous muscles and about halfway through the song it made me start to cry because i took it really personally (in a good way) and i didnt want to make it obvious until i looked to my right and there were three or four people in the same state of emotion. and then my friend brandon and i just hugged and held there for a good while after it was over.
i think the first time i actually saw jamie and caralee when i arrived was pretty intense because i had built it up and it was like seeing a ghost. i remember being really nervous of what i would say at first.

If xx ever dedicated a song to me, ESPECIALLY if it was suha, my head would explode.

since my earlier response had nothing to do with the band, one more favorite:
having jamie dedicate "helsabot" to me at an early solo show
and not really a favorite, but easily the most memorable: having my heart broken by a live performance of "sad redux-o-grapher" early last year, which inspired me to break up with my lover of 3.5 years
