THATS AWESEOMe that PEOPLE are finally dancing
to the groovin' XIU XIU beats....finally!
instead of just looking at the band dumbfounded.... someone actually danced to the music.
how does SATURN and BRIAN THE VAMPIRE sound live? do they sound like the lp?

sad guerilla was just guitar mostly, with caralee singing at the end as described before. saturn was crazy but yeah it was recognizable as soon as it began. it was really great. they started brian once and had some kind of trouble so they stopped and kinda laughed and then started again a minute later. i was hoping for yellow raspberry and it definitely was as good as i had hoped. i had never gotten to hear apistat live before so i was really excited as soon as i heard it begin. it was one of my favorites of the night. also, bunny gamer was really great. i hadn't caught that one live before either so it was a good set for me. (not that i wouldn't be pleased no matter what they decided to play ). suha sounded pretty similar to how i've heard it played at shows earlier this year. that song never gets old. as far as merch, they do have a lot of t-shirts. quite a few cds as well, as mentioned about the CA shows. also, they had little packs of photographs labeled as "photographic diaries". they were five bucks and look to be a little bundle of pictures wrapped in a setlist. and yeah the crowd was pretty cool and seemed into it.

i agree, i don't think you should be moshing or dancing like a fucking bafoon. i mean, a bit of dancing is cool, but from the sounds of it, that would have pissed me off too. when seeing xiu xiu i usualy observe it like an art piece at a gallery. there is etiquite on how to act depending on the band, i think.

yeah i bought one of the packets of photos...seemed like a cool little thingy for only five buckeroos. and yeah the dancing is cool but..uh...during the quiet songs it's kind of distracting. just not my style to move around a lot but i am generally not annoyed by other people getting into it. i'd rather them be feelin' it and moving around a lot than talking loudly and laughing loudly when he says a line that they haven't heard before during a quiet song like fabulous muscles or ale. can't wait for the cleveland shows.

WOW..... awesome clip!
you guys i just want to let everyone know
that i really love /enjoy/ never get bored of listening to xiu xiu
i think they are so unique and great and their music is soooo cleverly well composed with the beats and fuzz and guitar and the lyrics are sung so perfect. i mean..one actually can grasp the emotional intensity that JAMIE felt/ is feeling when he sings the songs. He sings them the exact way they need to be said. It is almost theatrical in a way.....
and i love whoever put that clip i have yet to hear BUNNY GAMER live and that little clip of the song was astonishing especially how jamie just puts it all out there. and i love how caralee just jams out with her bells and triangles and such....
gosh...im lost for words....
sorry you guys i m just excited..........
i cant wait to catch them ..but they wont be coming to texas until late november (nov 29 at austin at THE PARISH) im going to have to check them out twice...
if anyone else has clips please share.....that would be greatly appreciated......
okay enough with the banter...
