all i gotta say is.... its better than FM. which is good, because i was never a big fan of that record. i think a few of the tracks on the record sound like lost songs inbetween chapel of chimes and a promise. but remastered or somthing. mousy toy is an example

I think theres some kind of moralistic line that must be drawn on sharing leaked albums. I think sharing the album, blatantly in front of members of the band on their own forum is pretty much using their music like its a piece of meat.
Consumed, analyzed then you give your 2 cents.
I get a sick feeling in my stomach over this whole thing, just not right in my opinion..

well that zip file never had anything in it in the first place, so the knives can be put away to some degree.

I see now that that was your point well I definitely agree with you

[...] Consumed, analyzed then you give your 2 cents. I get a sick feeling in my stomach over this whole thing, just not right in my opinion.. apart from the part (part, part) I deleted, what's wrong with the comsume->analyze->'give your 2 cents' progression? It's a fucking classic.

It's a fucking classic. now c'mon, don'tcha just hate the fact that everyone's critic the internet's a behemoth of self-absorbed pretentiousness but my main point is, Jamie's asked us not to, and we don't give a shit I don't even care what his reasons are, if he asks us not to, we, as fans, should respect that or so I see it

yeah, the internet is bad. now people from all over the world can listen to independent bands like xiu xiu (otherwise how could a brazilian guy like me would listen to a band that doesn't play on brazilian radios or on mtv).
now people can choose what to listen to, without having to follow what the tv and the radio says they should.
now a garage band from an unknown country can be as much famous as a teenage idol like britney spears.
now people can download all kinds of music, and listen to music because it's damn good, instead of because that's something everyone else's doing.
yeah, the internet is satan. god help us all.

yeah, the internet is satan. god help us all. not only did you miss my point entirely, you've overlooked everything bad that the internet has caused, how about the trade of child pornography being out of control, how about largely contributing to the sloth lifestyle that we live out and providing the option for people to not leave their houses, ever, or the millions of new frauding and scamming industries that have been opened up sure the internet's a good thing, but it's an evil thing at the same time and all I'm saying is that Jamie's asked us not to download the leaks of his new albums, and we've ignored it, and posted about doing it on the very forum where Jamie asked us not to it's not out music just because we can download it freely and if we give two shits about the person who made this music for us shouldn't we respect a simple request? ahh fuck it, I'm not going to post about this anymore

now c'mon, don'tcha just hate the fact that everyone's critic [...] Again, I deleted the interesting part , I justed wanted to point out what I am referring to with this post *cough* To analyze, estimate, compare things is the most basic way of thinking, therefor not subdueable. The only thing that could be subject to a critique (again) [proper english? you decide] is to share this estimation or whatever you call it with other people over the internet... so as you can see .. there is not one aspect of this here post that could avow that clicking on the 'post' button would be one of the actions a half-way considerate being could choose, after reading it once again... (could, would et cetera) well.. I did..

Absolutely a dissapointment.
A more elementary Promise or a more beefed up Fag Patrol. A step back songwriting and soundwise, absolutely tragic. As much of a step forward Fab was, this takes it way back. Probably my least favorite album yet.
"Muppet Face" and "Bog People" are fantastic.
