The Wrens. The Wrens. The Wrens. The Wrens.
The Meadowlands is one of my all time favorite records. Oh sweet jesus. Silver, Secaucus, and Abbott 1135 are all awesome, too. Get it all. They rule.
Other wonderful stuff: Ween, Bottom of the Hudson, Optiganally Yours, Hot Snakes/Drive Like Jehu, Franz Ferdinand, Sufjan Stevens.

7 Year Rabbit Cycle! 7 Year Rabbit Cycle! 7 Year Rabbit Cycle!
Last time I saw Jamie he told me that they have a new album coming out this year and he sings a couple songs on it. I asked him if he had a copy, he said he didn't but that he had a tape, so I practically begged him if I could hear 'his' songs. Of course he was nice enough to let me hear, so we sat in his van and listened. Oh my God...it was soooo intense. Him just caterwauling and screaming. It was really crazy beautiful.
