Just while you're at it: Amazon.com (US) HAGH- 30,827 HPC- 3,317 I'm curious to know how one finds figures like these, which I am guessing might be sales figures on Amazon.com? ?? Could you advise me on how to track down such info? It's the "sales rank" figure, and it's on the product page. I think it refers to where the item ranks in Amazon's total sales for that day, i.e. #1 is the top-selling item.

I heard The CN Tower Belongs To The Dead in the new Douglas Coupland-written movie, Everything's Gone Green, today at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

I didn't realise the Orange ad had a radio version, but I just heard it twice in about half an hour on XFM. Longer than the tv ad, and just instrumental, no vocals.
SELL OUT!!

I miss Final Fantasy being all small and local-y. I know that's totally selfish. But I do. Truly madly deeply.

I'm happy for both Mr. Pallett and Mr. Wolf, but ... I miss when they were little secrets. I'm by no means a 'local' to either of them, but ... I caught wind of them early on. It's wonderful and sad to watch them grow up and out.

I'll be at the back for the Albert Hall (if he ever gets there), just to soak in the whole thing.

about the orange ad.. i know there was once one ad that had the moldy peaches in it.. so i'd say orange has someone sitting there chosing the music who's all into the unknown music..you know..
about the amazon ranks: i'd say HPC just sells better because it's the recent record and everyone who's a fan of owen has HAGH already .. whatever..
I wouldn't say owen is selling out either.. who'd know that it's final fantasy music playing there when they don't even have a tiny line in the spot saying music by.... I don't like that anyway.. whenever I like songs in ads they NEVER have some hint who that might be in it...

I'm late to this thread, but i really enjoyed the advert. It mellowed me each time it came on. And i love both albums, but in different ways, so it just depends on my mood as to which I prefer. I'd love to witness HPC performed by Owen with the RPO though ^^

Yes, It was much better when they were underground, because I don't like people listening to the same music as I do, odd, but sorry if that sounds selfish

I'm the same way. It's kind of bad because I always wish that I had a friend that liked all the same music as me, but then I feel like I want to keep the bands I like all to myself. I kinda just don't tell anyone about them, and if someone finds out and asks me, then I'll tell. But yeah, it does make me feel selfish but I can't really help it, I don't know why.

(Glad it's not just me then. I keep wondering what must've happened in childhood to screw up my psyche thus.)

Actually, I have gotten a few of my friends into Final Fantasy, it's just if they don't ask, I don't tell. They asked, so I gave them some songs and they bought the albums (and loved them).

I know what you mean about keeping bands to yourself. Well ... wanting to. It's cool to be able to go see them in little intimate gigs, and not have to rush to buy tickets, etc etc. I went to see a band i like recently and i'm in an arena looking at dots on a stage and it's juts no fun. Conversely i went to see a guy i hardly knew just shortly before that in a really small vernue in Stoke, and loved it. So yeah, it's good. But i also love it when people say "do you know who this song is by?" and i say "why yes of course! Here, have some further listening!" I tend to find myself sending a lot of Final Fantasy tracks to people, annnnd my radio show is good for ensuring airplay I think i'd just like for everyone to know, and the world to be full of small venues. Of course then Owen would literally do nothing but perform, but i'm prepared to make that sacrifice
