I know everyone (including myself) is very excited by the news of another tour/extensions of the tour and the In Conflict video! what a beautiful accompaniment to the song, it truly had my heart racing. in regards to the Nowness interview, I would also like to ask you Owen, what your preferred pronouns are. I have the utmost respect for you and do not want to continue using male pronouns if it conflicts with your identity.

Hmm, you do a one hour interview and they always focus on the most contentious parts. I am GQ but I id as queer male with male pronouns for the convenience of my family and friends.

It's a *beautiful* video, my favourite from In Conflict so far I think. I can't stop thinking about it. Kind of uncomfortable to watch in a totally compelling way, or maybe that's just me. (and hey, correct pronouns are useful to know. )

It is a really lovely video, truly stunning. Really happy about the tour dates as well!
justmade: It's funny you said that it's uncomfortable to watch. It is for me as well, but just due to emotions that it evokes for me. I was listening to 'In Conflict' a lot when I was over in England this past August visiting friends. Being back in the USA so far from all those really fantastic times and amazing people, whenever I hear any of the songs I am washed over with a feeling of saudade. However it's really wonderful at the same time.

justmade: I'm so very sorry to hear you went through such a rough time, but really glad to hear you are doing so much better! It is really fantastic how comforting music can be even when you are at your very worst. I think Wayne Coyne said it better than I can: "Music is amazing. There's some metaphysical comfort where it allows you to be isolated and alone while telling you that you are not alone... truly, the only cure for sadness is to share it with someone else." Thank you :3 It's a great word isn't it? Saudade and sehnsucht are of my tops. I can't really find an English equivalent to either. I agree, I love hearing how others respond to music and video emotionally. Everyone has their own very personal connections and feelings as it's always so interesting (like you said). No way, yours was an awesome post

This is awesome. I always feel a bit like I am stealing or appropriating artists' really specific experiences when I really connect with an album but I guess that's also kind of the beauty of it. The specific becoming the general becoming the specific again. Or something.
