Owen you should start bringing multiple tape machines out on stage and moving them to length of the loop on a track by track basis.

JESUS
I just saw KB and the Last Bison at the Waldorf in Vancouver..... it was great. When the Last Bison came on, I totally imagined a group of bandits kidnapped some farm kids (because they totally looked like farm kids) to play awesome music, and it was fucking awesome!
KB was great of course... The second song he played was intro/pathos pathos and it was INSANE! He did this thing where I think he pitched down the violin an octave and made this super lush fog of sounds and then slid up the frets a couple times making this sort of rotating wheel of sound (?) and it totally felt like I was flying through space...
Then the members of the Last Bison came to play some songs with him.... SO MUCH ENERGY.
One of the best nights ever. Are any of you planning to see them on their tour at any point?

It's crazy that this little family band from my area is hitting it big; they've been playing the shit out of Switzerland for a while on the local alt station. I wish I could get into them since not much non-rap comes out of this area, but I'm not too big on indie-folk :/

There's also that "White Sails" guy, what's his name. And Anne Rossi. Pekka does looping. Oliver Schroer did it, Laurie Anderson did it. Look, you want to talk about a string player/singer who destroys me? Like I'm embarrassed to even mention his name b/c he's so awesome? Listen to some Ben Sollee. He asked to tour with me and I am ashamed to say that "you will blow me off the damn stage" was a mitigating factor in why we haven't got it together just yet. I'm gonna get him to dumb it down a bit, take it easy on me. hey, just joined this board, and I'm blown away to hear one of my favorite musicians namedrop Ben Sollee. I live in Kentucky and got to see him perform with another local band, Cabin, at Forecastle Festival recently, and it was great. A tour with him would be a dream come true for me, and gives me hope that you'll be coming back to Kentucky soon. I saw you and The National at the Brown Theater in Louisville in 2010 and even got to chat with you briefly at the merch table, one of the best nights of my life.

Not the minute after I got up from the computer lab after reading this post and walked out the student union, I saw that he's on tour and performing here this Friday. This is wonderfully exciting, thanks for keeping him in mind.

Looks like we'll both be seeing him pretty soon.
