Ever since I first heard "Heartland", the images of Lewis and the land of Heartland began to rattle around in my head. I was unable to shake these characters and the world of Spectrum, and so I started to put those images to paper. "The Songsmith's Heartland" is the result. Before I share this comic with anyone else, I'm inviting Owen's fans (that's you!) to check out the first sequence from the comic, and starting next week I'll be posting a new page every Monday and Friday. The adventure starts here: www.nickthornborrow.com/comics/heartland/01.html I hope you'll join me!

very, very cool. I'm not hardcore expecting this to follow the album to the letter. Nice job so far!

OH MY GOD!!! This is amazing!!
I've always wanted something to do visual with Heartland. The music made such a vivid image in my head. Sadly I can't draw or even make a map of spectrum. But this is amazing!!!!
Although it is not what I expected, I am excited to see the rest!! Someone finally did it!!! yay
EDIT: Is it possible to obtain the image above textless?? *hint* hint*. Would make as an awesome tiled background. heheh.

your choice of panels is smooth and deliberate, it's awesome. I had to futz around in your parent directory to get to those comics. do you have other work?

Whoa, this looks pretty rad! I like your style, and I'd like to see where you go with it. It's always so interesting seeing what Owen's music can inspire visually. Very nice!

Is there any way to purchase the Songsmith's Heartland?
Like a hardcover (or softcover) graphic novel?
That would be awesome.

If that ever happens, I'll gladly throw down some dosh.
By the way, I loved all of "The Great Elsewhere" pages.
