Dear Owen: Back when I first started really getting into music some years ago, a friend sent me Hard to Explain at a point when I thought of The Strokes as "That band that does Last Night," and the song blew me away and is still my top Strokes song by a mile. To hop on here earlier tonight and see this topic was exhilarating, and the song definitely did *not* disappoint; the stark honesty of the arrangement and vocal delivery with the song was perfect. |
