I think it's allowed to draw peoples attention to the fact that the wonderful Simon Bookish is doing a rare full band performance supporting the equally devastatingly good The Irrepressibles at the Scala, London on Thursday 30th September 2010. Many will remember his support performance for Owen a few years ago and I'm sure you all have the Keep The Dog remix he did recently. Anyway it will be a great show, so why not take a punt. here's a Link that explains it all

Oh lordy, wow! A friend told me about The Irrepressibles gig earlier today, and I had no idea Mr Bookish was supporting. I'll be there!

Looks like it's been pushed back to the 30th of September a whole 3 days after the Whale Watching tour at the Barbican if I remember correctly, that'll be a fun week.

I didn't know the Whale Watching Tour was going to Barbican. Hopefully it'll be better attended than Reading, though I really enjoyed that gig. I just love Nico's compositions and arrangements for Samamidon <3

Status report? How awesome was this? Leo was great although he did mess up the lyrics to Alsatian Dog, but he's got a great stage presence and seeing him with a full band fort eh first time make me sad that he's not doing anything more (at least for the while). Owen should drag him out on tour. Big shame was that it was a ticketless event and it took ages for the crowd to get in, so many people would have missed his performance. I got a signed setlist from Leo at the end. The Irrepressibles were excellent as well, although it took a few numbers before the sound engineer solved an annoying buzz on the speakers. It was there last London show before they head back to the studio (hopefully this time they won't need to beg for money to get the record finished. Anyway I had a great time.
