A hypothetical tracklisting:
Scandal At The Parkade Honour The Dead Or Else The Man With No Ankles (// Wella Balsam Reverie?) Don't Stop The Party On My Account. (Owen's Voice?)
Discuss.

I doubt a lot of those will see the light of day on a new album. Especially when you consider how at least three of them are in the "Heartland" universe.

Wasn't there talk of a second EP set in the Heartland universe, way back when the whole thing was still being written? If Spectrum, 14th Century was an introduction of sorts, Heartland the main story then this second EP would tell of how things had changed? Maybe I got things wrong... Especially since I can't remember where I read about it. Anybody?

I like your thoughts but even if it was just another EP, I would still be ecstatic. Anything Owen puts out makes me salivate.

I can totally imagine how Scandal at the Parkade would fit in a "conclusive" EP.

I think we just have to be patient and enjoy the music that we have got for now. Yeas, it would be a shame if these songs never get a studio version released, but I'm sure if they don't it would be because something even better comes along.

I'm starting to think so too, but not about Don't Stop The Party. I think that's legitimate new material on a new album. Honour wasn't in the Heartland cycle either, really.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing any more heartland stuff. Somehow I feel like when Owen kills himself off at the end of an album he's basically saying "so, that's done now. On to the next!"

But she didn't say "never".

I mean, it seems like in the past, when an album's over, it's over. And that's usually a good thing because what's next is amazing. I mean, Heartland and HPC are two entirely different creatures, and I wouldn't have missed either of them for the world.

If it's true that both owen AND thomas are heading into the studio in July or so, they'll probably want to take an entirely different direction with all this, leaving heartland behind. Being as that every release for a while has been themed somehow, I doubt the next one would be any different.
Then again, just throwing stuff together would put a few wonderful goodies in, Parkade included.

Parkade and Honour have been around for 5 YEARS everybody. 5 YEARS without a release. Maybe that CBC Halifax recording will be the best of Honour we can hope for.
